David Diga Hernandez - Changed in the Holy Spirit's Presence

Well, I want you to prepare your heart today because I have a guest with me who wants to talk to you about the presence of God. In the presence of God, there is transformation; in the presence of God, depression turns to joy, confusion turns to clarity, and torment turns to peace. I believe that as you’re watching right now, it is not by accident that God is going to do a work in you, and that the presence and power of the Holy Spirit are going to transform you. You’ll experience a touch from heaven today, and I want to welcome my guest, evangelist Michael Lombardo, to the broadcast. It’s a pleasure to have you, my friend.

It’s a pleasure to be here. Well, we’ve been talking about the presence of God, and I have read many of your writings and seen some things from your ministry that have blessed me. I’m happy that you’re here, and I know our guests are going to love you because one of the things I love about your ministry is that you love the presence of God. Here, at this ministry, we cherish the Holy Spirit, the presence of God, and the supernatural. I knew you were a perfect fit—kindred spirits, absolutely.

I know there’s so much going on that we’re going to talk about, but before we get into that, why don’t you go ahead and give us a little bit of a breakdown of what God is doing in your life and ministry? Just tell us a little about it right now.

Well, my wife and I are doing a lot of missions work. God called us to Mozambique to be with Heidi Baker and Roland Baker’s ministry. I met my wife there. We were just living our passion and calling, doing a lot of traveling overseas for missions work. After we got married, God called us to Cambodia, where we spent some time with Iris. Then God began to give us a heart for America. I saw a vision of fire spreading all across America and then shooting out to the nations of the world. While we were overseas preaching the gospel, God started to give us a burden for America. So we moved back, and He began to open so many doors in New Jersey.

We are in a very dark part of New Jersey, in an area called Perth Amboy, which has a lot of poverty, drugs, and brokenness. My wife and I were doing outreach there every month, and soon we were doing it every week. God has us traveling all around the U.S., just preaching the gospel and igniting the church. Our desire is to see people fall madly in love with Jesus because He is beautiful. We’re witnessing lives transformed in the glory of God, but our heart is always to hit the streets, go to the darkest places, and share the gospel to see lives changed.

I know my viewers want me to ask you something, so tell me about that vision before we get into the subject matter today. What vision did you see?

Well, I was in Mozambique, and the glory of God was pouring out powerfully. There was a speaker there laying hands on people, and I was in the back, having my own encounter with God. As I was there, feeling His presence so strongly, I saw a map of the U.S. pop out before my eyes, and I began to see His fire spreading from state to state. I realized that God’s heart is for America, just as it is for the entire world. While we’re pursuing God and traveling around the world, He began to highlight His church in America. He wants to awaken His bride, igniting holy passion in His church. From that place, He is pushing us and compelling us to get out of the four walls of the church with this gospel.

Did you happen to see which state was lit on fire first?

I don’t remember which state was first; all I recall is a blazing fire. Nonetheless, I believe what you saw is prophetic, and I am confident this is going to be the greatest move of God this nation and the world has ever seen. Absolutely! I’m excited about what the Lord is doing.

You had an encounter with the Lord that transformed your life. Tell us about how you were before you met Him.

Well, I grew up in a Christian home. My mother was a believer, and I heard her speaking in tongues. I was forced to go to church and experienced all of that. However, all I really knew was religion because I grew up in the Catholic Church. My dad wasn’t a believer, while my mom was involved in the charismatic church. Because of that, I had a very twisted view of who God was; I thought He wanted to take away all my fun.
