I want to minister this word, and then I believe the power of the Holy Spirit is going to hit this place like electricity. I believe it, and I know that He’s able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or even think, or even imagine. The scripture says more than we could imagine; He’s able to accomplish. He is able, no matter what you face today. He is able. You may have tried every other option; you may have looked in every other direction, but He makes a way where there seems to be no way. The power of the Holy Spirit is going to begin to move all throughout this room in just a few minutes, and when the power of the Holy Spirit begins to move across this room, the sick will be healed. When the power of the Holy Spirit moves across this room, demons are coming out of people tonight. When the power of the Holy Spirit begins to move, you will go to new depths in the Spirit. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want anything without substance. I want the presence of the Holy Ghost. I am talking to you tonight about the ultimate church growth expert. This individual has sold more books than any author you can think of. I don’t care how big the name is; I don’t care how big the crowd is. This one individual has influenced more people just through his writing, and he used ghostwriters—I call them Holy Ghost writers. He influenced more people through his work than any one individual has ever influenced through their work. This individual has influenced more influencers than any top leadership name you can think of. This one individual has the longest track record of success and the most experience of all who have ever planted a church, started a ministry, or preached the gospel. He is the wisest when it comes to navigating the difficult circumstances that surround ministry. He is the wisest when it comes to navigating the hearts of men, and he has the most effective strategies that we need to implement today to see what we want, and that is multiplication. Because multiplication is more than just numbers; multiplication is individuals multiplied times many who receive Jesus as Lord. This one individual was there at the beginning; he was the breath that began the church. This one individual is the one who is continuing to build His church today, and against it, the gates of Hell shall not prevail. This individual is the Holy Spirit of God. I don’t care how clever you think you are; I don’t care how gifted you think you are; I don’t care how intellectual you think you are. It matters not, because when it comes to being used by God, there’s only one thing that matters, and that is how surrendered you are to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit raised the church; the Holy Spirit sustained the church in the face of persecution; and the Holy Spirit has plans for the church even today that are going to far surpass anything we have seen throughout history. He is going to move in a way that we never could imagine possible. He is going to exceed your expectations. That church expert stands alone—untouched, unparalleled—the person of the Holy Spirit. You can’t do it better than the Holy Ghost, man. Now I’m going to be in the book of Acts, and I like people using their Bibles. I didn’t give them slides on purpose, also because then you look at the slide and you don’t look at me, and I need you to look at me, because this is how we communicate face to face. I came here to deliver a message, and I’m going to deliver that message, and then I’m going to minister the power of God to you. If you have a need, start praying now; let your faith be stirred even in this moment, because something is happening even as I’m talking. I kid you not, when you talk about the Holy Spirit, He shows up, and I can feel Him already stirring me. So I’m going to be in Acts chapter 2 to begin. We’re going to look at the track record of church growth in the book of Acts. Really, while I’m not criticizing those who put together the scripture—I mean, their intelligence far surpasses mine and their understanding of the depth of the scripture far surpasses mine—but I really do believe that it should not have been called the Acts of the Apostles. I think it should have been called the Acts of the Holy Spirit, because ultimately you can see His invisible hand influencing people and moving them along the planes of purpose toward their destiny. We see in Acts chapter 2, verse 41, and we’re only going to refer to Acts as far as the references go. I want you to think of what we’re about to read. We’re about to read about Peter standing in a place and preaching to multitudes the uncompromised gospel of Jesus Christ—fearless and bold, focused and anointed. This man begins to deliver a message that pierces the hearts of the individuals who heard him. But I thought, this is the same Peter who, when many challenged him and tried to dig into his identity, cowered and shied away, denying ever having known Jesus. Yet this same individual, who was struck with fear and the fear of man, especially, this very same individual stands up in front of the multitudes and boldly proclaims repentance from sin and salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
