If you ever find yourself in a difficult place, asking the Lord for a miraculous touch in your life, then I believe this message resonates with you on a deep level. I also believe it will help specify and clarify your thoughts on experiencing the miraculous. Maybe right now, as you are watching this video, you are going through a very difficult and trying time. You may be struggling with your finances, relationships, ministry, business, family, mind, and emotions. Perhaps you are sick in body and believing God for healing. Whatever the case may be, I believe any moment can be your miracle moment. So often, we expect tragedy and terrible things to happen, and if we’re not careful, we develop a negative mindset that suggests we should expect the worst. We imagine that good things happen only to other people, in different places and lifestyles, and we find it difficult to accept that God wants to bless us. God wants to touch our lives, especially in these times. I’m telling you, these are very interesting times in which we are living. We are witnessing the rise of terrorist groups, political unrest, economic instability, and social issues that threaten to turn the nation upside down. Whether it turns out to be just hype or an actual threat, I believe that no matter what you are facing, no matter the season or climate, God wants to bless your life. God wants to touch you. God wants to bring you out of dark places. In another scripture, we learn that the people of God are somewhat immune to the things happening in the world outside. Take, for example, the people under the leadership of Joseph and Pharaoh. When they were under godly leadership, they thrived even in a time of famine. I believe that the same principle applies to you. I’m sharing this to encourage you because I want to get you thinking in faith. We are going to get into the lesson right now, but I want to seize your attention and focus on your need. I want you to imagine, think, and meditate on the reality that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or even imagine—that’s what the Bible says. So instead of expecting tragedy, which has the potential to turn things for the worse, expect a miracle, which has the same sudden effect but instead changes things for the better. As I said at the top of the program, you have no idea what the next 24 hours hold for you. You may be just a few hours away from breakthrough. It may be that by the end of this week, you will find the breakthrough for which you’ve been praying. It could be that just one month, two months, or three months around the corner is the promised land. Perhaps you have been discouraged and are growing tired of the clichés and rhetoric. You may wonder, «Okay, I’ve been declaring these things; I’ve been standing in faith; I’ve been looking to Jesus; I’ve been praying, but when will I actually see the promises of God materialize in my life?» Well, I’m going to show you in Scripture that receiving a miracle isn’t solely about a moment. The miracle moment is often found only after the journey of faith. The problem is that we want to skip ahead and see the miracle moment right now without having gone through the process of the journey. Scripture teaches us that the Holy Spirit will not bestow something that is awaited upon those who cannot withstand its pressure. God wants to process you through the seasons of faithfulness so you can handle the blessing. So, we will go to Scripture now. First, I want to say this: receiving your miracle begins with hearing in faith. Jesus said, «He who has an ear, let him hear.» Most of us want to start receiving right off the bat; we want to extend our spiritual hands and say, «Okay, Lord, I’m ready to receive!» Instead, we should put our spiritual ears out, which help bring in the faith that will process us to become those who can receive and handle what God has blessed us with. Romans 10:17 is a scripture I often quote, and it says this: «So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.» Faith is the ability to receive all that God has for you. If you lack faith, you cannot receive what God has promised. Every promise of God, everything provided in Scripture, and all the truth that can apply to our lives and set us free is of no use if we don’t have faith. It may as well be as if God never promised anything. If you lack faith, what good are the promises of God? If you lack faith, what good are the blessings of God? If you lack faith, what good is the truth of the Word? When you don’t have faith, you cannot receive all that God has for you.
