So this is something I’m telling you right in the middle of the lesson; this has never happened during a spiritual broadcast. My entire crew recognizes what is happening here. Throughout this broadcast, we have encountered one problem after another. We’ve never experienced issues like we’re having tonight. It is one of the strangest occurrences we’ve ever had on set. I believe this is happening because we are discussing the demonic realm today. We have prayed, and we are ready to do what God wants us to do. I want you to know that what you’re watching today took warfare to bring to you. I ask that as you’re watching, you pray that God would touch your life, your mind, and your heart to give you understanding. May God help you keep your focus on what is being said, so that you are not distracted, which, by the way, is an attack from the enemy against what the Word of God is teaching today. We take authority over that spirit that not only tried to disrupt here but is also going to try to interfere with you as you watch. So, in the name of Jesus, before this Spirit Church broadcast even begins, I rebuke every demonic power affecting everyone who is watching. I rebuke every demonic power that would try to block what the Holy Spirit wants to do. In Jesus' name, we pray. Now, let’s get to Spirit Church. For the next several editions of Spirit Church, I will be addressing the overall topic of spiritual warfare. Today, I am specifically discussing the fall of Satan. Usually, I preach on the Holy Spirit, prayer, the presence of God, healing, faith, miracles, and subjects such as those. Spiritual warfare is one of those topics that I consider to be a hallmark of this ministry. Over the next several weeks, I will cover topics related to demonic beings, spiritual warfare, and the like. As we move through these subjects, I ask that you pray God would equip you and help you receive the Word in full, so you can go and defeat the enemy in all areas of your life. Stiva Moctezuma is here with me as usual; he will lead you in worship, and we will get right into this lesson on the fall of Satan. I’ll never forget one of my first encounters with someone who was possessed by a demonic being. I walked into a small Bible study being held at one of my friend’s houses, and when I entered that Bible study, I looked around the room and saw that there were about 25 to 30 youth and young adults gathered there, worshiping the Lord. Someone was playing an acoustic guitar, and everyone was being led together with one voice in worship. I can tell you that the presence of the Holy Spirit was resting upon that Bible study in a very unique way. As I worshiped the Lord alongside those present, I noticed someone walk into the room. It was a man who had tattoos and was dressed in a way that might lead you to think he fit the stereotype of a thug. When I looked at him, I was immediately able to see beyond the natural, and the Lord gave me a heart of compassion for him. As I gazed at this man, the Lord began to speak to me about him, telling me, «I want you to go across the room and pray for him.» So I began to make my way through the Bible study group, moving past people toward the individual I had just seen. As I approached him, the Lord spoke to me further, and I knew that I was heading toward a very real, intense, and spiritual encounter.

I came closer to him, and again, I sensed an intensity in the spirit. It was a celestial conflict lingering in the air, and I understood that this was spiritual warfare. I approached the man and asked him if I could pray for him. He nodded in the affirmative, though he didn’t seem very enthusiastic about it. Nonetheless, he agreed to let me pray for him, so I grabbed his wrist and began to pray in the Holy Spirit, praying in tongues. As I prayed, this man began to tremble and shake, and his shaking grew more and more violent until he was almost convulsing. When I looked up at him, I saw in his face and in his eyes a very dark, intense, and real hatred. I could see that he hated me. His face contorted, revealing a demonic presence. In that moment, I continued to pray while he looked at me and shook. As he looked at me, he began to growl under his breath. I intensified my prayers. Later, he would recall that everything inside him wanted to hurt me; he felt like murdering me, and he wanted to kill me. I remember witnessing that violent look on his face as he trembled even more violently during our prayer.

I’m telling you, the conflict just intensified. He pulled his hand back as if he was going to hit me, but when he lunged forward, it was as if someone stopped his hand. He later recalled that he felt someone grab his wrist, which prevented him from hitting me. He was trying to lunge toward me, but he couldn’t. We prayed for him for several hours, but there was no deliverance that night. At that time, I had not yet learned that demonic beings do not take hours to cast out of people. I do not believe it takes so long to cast out a demon. However, a few weeks later, I saw him again at our church, and he was delivered there. It was a beautiful testimony. He still travels today, sharing his testimony about how God delivered him from demonic beings. I tell you this story to remind you that we are in a spiritual war. There are angels and demons; there is a heaven and a hell; there is a God and a devil. Demons are not merely metaphors for evil; they are not figments of literature. They are real, ancient, menacing beings that stalk about in an unseen world, seeking to devour all that God loves, and that includes you.

All of this began in ancient times. This clash, this war, began in the days of Adam and Eve. The scripture tells us in Acts chapter 26, verse 18, «to open their eyes so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people who are set apart by faith in me.» Ephesians chapter 2, verse 2, says this: «wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience.» There are only two kingdoms of which you can be a part: the kingdom of God and the kingdom of hell. Do not fool yourself, and do not kid yourself. You are either walking in the light or in darkness; there is no in-between, no neutral ground. You are either a subject of the kingdom of heaven or a slave in the kingdom of hell. There are those who will say, «I do not wish to serve the Lord.»
