It will surely come to pass. I have to go; it will speak and not lie. What will speak? The vision will speak. See, when the vision comes to pass, you don’t have to talk. Let me go on this side over here. I said you let them do the talking. When your vision comes to pass, the vision will talk for you. Pastor, I never, I never lost myself. Have you lost vision? If you’ve ever lost vision, you’ve lost a part of yourself. Pastor, I don’t think I’ve lost vision. Well, if you haven’t lost vision, have you ever lost value? Have you unconsciously and unintentionally dimmed your light? Okay, let me go over here. Have you unconsciously and unintentionally played small so other people could feel big? Let me go over here. Have you ever unconsciously acted like you couldn’t do what you know you could do, that you don’t have what you know you possess, and that you don’t know what you know? Come on here, diminishing your value. I love this. How real can I be in the arena? It is when you are being overly accommodating to others' emotional immaturity. God Almighty, I am! It means you have become imprisoned by somebody else’s unwillingness to deal with their issues. At some point, I can’t be tiptoeing around the tulip because every time I start talking to you about what God is doing for me, you start getting sensitive and upset. Y’all aren’t talking to me. Insecurity and emotional immaturity have a language; they use certain adjectives. One of the adjectives in the language of the emotionally immature is «little,» not «little l,» but «I l.» So when they come to you and say, «You still got that little job,» «You still got that little business,» «You still got that little church,» I see you do this. This is scary because it’s not conscious; it’s not intentional, and in some sense, it’s not healthy, but it’s admirable. Okay, because it means you’re considering someone else’s condition. But it’s one thing to consider it; it’s another thing to be controlled by it, and I want you to hear me: some of you will hear this plainly, others will hear this prophetically. This is not the season to play small; come get me here. We need to have a biblical understanding of humility. Come on here, humility! Humility should not be confused with denial of ability. See, some stuff people call arrogance is not arrogance; it’s awareness. It’s called self-awareness. It’s the first quadrant of emotional intelligence. When your mind has been discipled by unhealthy religion, the only self-awareness you feel comfortable with is sin. So if I ask you about you, the only thing you can tell me is what’s wrong with you. But self-awareness means that I’m more than aware of my weaknesses; it also means I’m aware of my strengths. My awareness is not arrogance, because if my awareness were arrogance, you would have to call Jesus arrogant, because he’s the one that said, «I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.» He’s the one that said, «Destroy this temple, and in three days…» Here’s what one writer says: humility doesn’t come from you being unaware of what God gave you and what you can do. He says arrogance comes when you forget who gave it to you. That’s so good! But if you’ve ever diminished your value, you’ve lost a part of yourself.
