At the cross, God provided his Son to be the lamb that takes away your sin and also the one that takes your punishment. So you see God's love blending with God's justice. Righteousness and mercy met. Mercy and truth kissed at the cross. At the cross you see all the attributes of God magnified, glorified, all the claims of divine holiness fully met, the law of God magnified, the Ten Commandments honored, and Christ fulfilled the law. We're not under the law because we break the law; we're not under law because Christ fulfilled the law. That's why we're under grace.
