Keith Battle - Miracles - Part 2

I’m about to dive into part two of our new series, «Miracles: When God Does the Impossible.» This is part two. Before I get into it, check this out: Let there be light, let there be light, let there be love. You, yes you, are a God of miracles, far from the typical. So how about we get biblical? He performed miracles in the lives of different individuals, and no, it doesn’t take a perfect person to be used by God; it just takes a loving Father who gives grace despite your scars. So, what does it matter if you’re 3, 38, or 300 years young? My God is known to do good works in the lives He’s begun and is destined to finish. He will replenish your faith that was low at one point with a mind-blowing miracle because my God doesn’t disappoint. He appoints; He anoints without asking for permission, because His mission is more about His kingdom and less about your comfort. So excuse God when He does what He does for whatever reason. My God can do a miracle takeover in any season. He can do the impossible! Do you believe He can do the impossible? God can do the impossible. Do you believe? Do you believe He can do the impossible?

So today, to all the kings and queens, young and old, you still have a pulse, so God still has a plan. So don’t ever look in your little mirror and say the words «I can’t,» or «I’m not capable,» or «I’m too small to do it.» God used little boy David to fight a whole giant and pursue it. So with God, all things are possible. You see, if you ask me, He did the miracle, which started in the Bible and continues to you and continues to me. So that’s a miracle; you’re a miracle. He can do the unexpected miracle. We can do it; He can do it. Wow! Give it up! That was Young’s Legacy, delivering the spoken word. Amen! Let’s stand, y’all, for the word of God. I’m going to read this passage; I’m going to read a few verses from Mark chapter 5 today. Are y’all excited about being here? See, I’m glad. There should be an expectation in this place that God’s going to do something. We aren’t just doing skits up here; we’re creating an environment for the miraculous. Amen? Someone is going to pull on God by faith, and some tumor will dry up in this place. Something the doctors couldn’t figure out is going to get fixed—it’s going to get fixed! I said it’s going to get fixed, and the doctor is going to say, «I don’t know what happened, but I don’t need to see you anymore!» That’s what I’m talking about. I’m talking about the kind of stuff where your child comes home, straightening up, walking right, and living for God. God is able to do those kinds of things. Does anybody need God to do something that only He can do? It may not even be for you; it can be for somebody you love. Let me read this: Mark chapter 5, beginning at verse 22. I’m going to read verse 22, verse 23, and then I’m going to read verse 35 and 36. It says in the New Living Translation: Mark 5:22, «Then a leader of the local synagogue, whose name was Jairus, arrived. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet, pleading fervently with Him. 'My little daughter is dying, ' he said. 'Please come and lay your hands on her so she can live.'»

Verse 35: «Watch this: While he was still speaking to her, Jesus was still talking to the woman who had the bleeding disorder; messengers arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue, and they told him, 'Your daughter is dead. There’s no use troubling the teacher now.' But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus in verse 36, 'Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.'» Amen! You may be seated. I want to use those last three words that Jesus said to Jairus as my subject today: «Just have faith.» When Jesus told Jairus to just have faith, it was at a moment when things in his life went from bad to worse. When he came to Jesus, his daughter was sick, and when Jesus told him to just have faith, she was deceased. It had gotten worse. And when things get worse, it disturbs you; he’s obviously upset, worried, concerned, and troubled. Jesus’s only directive to him was this: «Don’t be afraid. I know it got worse; I know it went from difficult to impossible, but just have faith.» Just have faith!

Now, Jesus never told him what He was going to do; all He told him was just have faith. I say that because there are probably thousands of people listening to me right now, and you have something in your life that’s got you upset; it’s got you worried, anxious, and afraid—it’s got you concerned. The same message to Jairus is the same message that Jesus is giving to us today: just have faith. See, when we look at Mark chapter 5, one of the things you have to understand is that there are basically three miracles in this chapter. The first miracle, in verses 1 to 20, gives a man a miracle by setting him free from being demonically possessed.
