What if one of the most well-known stories in scripture was also one of the most misunderstood?

Most of us can recite the story of the prodigal son from memory. After all it's a parable about how far you and I have turned from God, how we've ran far away and need his forgiveness... isn't it? Or is it possible, that when Jesus was telling this story He meant for us to focus on the Father? His arms stretched wide open as his runaway son returned. His eagerness to welcome him home with a kiss and a celebration. Maybe the story of the Prodigal Son is actually more about the Father who loved him through it all.

This Christmas Eve, Pastor Louie Giglio wants you to know that this isn't just someone else's story; that lost uncle, brother, or daughter. This story is all of ours, and the best part is we have a home and we are most welcome to it.
