By the end of the First Century, there were so many people claiming to be apostles that it was creating a problem. And there are a number of people doing the same thing today. These individuals may be highly gifted in one area or another in ministry and refer to themselves as “apostles,” but that does not necessarily mean they meet the biblical criteria to be called an apostle.
