God wants us to grow and move on to the deeper truths of the faith. But before we can move on to deeper truths, we must first understand and be established in the basics, which affect everything else in our lives. “Faith toward God” is one of those basic, foundational truths. In fact, the only way to be saved, reconciled to God, and spend in eternity in Heaven is to have faith toward God — to trust in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and His resurrection from the dead. Through faith in His righteous blood alone are we made right with God. Understanding this truth is foundational to our Christian life.
