Robert Morris - The Light of the Lamp

The Bible is a light that overcomes the darkness in our hearts and illuminates the way we should go. Where is the darkest place you’ve ever been (physically)? How did it make you feel? How welcome was the light?

There is no argument between darkness and light—when a light is turned on in a dark place, light “wins” every time. Likewise, when we allow the light of God—the Bible—to shine in our hearts, darkness is dispelled. Anywhere there is light, we can see which way to go and what obstacles to avoid. When we read God’s Word, we’re filling ourselves with light and receive both freedom and guidance from the Lord.
