Does God still heal? Pastor Robert points to Healer as one of God’s names, showing He has the power and desire to heal you physically and emotionally.
God has provided both physical and emotional healing for us. The Greek word for salvation (“sozo”) means to be made whole. Luke 4:16-21 and Matthew 8:16-17 both explain that Jesus came to heal us, physically and emotionally. One of the names of God is “Jehovah Rapha,” which means, “the God Who Heals.” Jesus never changes (Hebrews 13:8), so His promise to bring healing remains true today.
Luke 4:18 says that Jesus has come to heal the brokenhearted. All of us have emotional wounds that, until healed, cause bondage and strongholds in our lives. Rejection is probably the deepest wound that affects everyone. The best that secular humanism can do for us is to help us to cope with our areas of woundedness, but Jesus can heal us. God’s vision for your life is to heal you.
