Sheryl Brady - The Conquering Power of a Covenant

I want to talk for a few moments on the subject of the conquering power of a covenant. I’m excited as we enter into 2022, and today I want to share some thoughts that I believe will set you up and prepare you to frame your mindset regarding the power that belongs to you as a covenant keeper in the Kingdom of God. I’m going to set you up. Look at someone and tell them, «I’m about to be set up! I’m about to be set up! I’m about to understand that my covenant has the power to conquer.» That’s what I want you to grasp: you have a covenant with God, and you possess the power to conquer today.

Father, I thank you for your word. Just say it as you want it said. Use me today, God. I pray all of these people have gathered in this place. They’ve laid aside this time and other things they could be doing, but Lord, they came to hear directly from you. If you don’t speak, we will all be disappointed. So talk to us, God. We’ve worshiped you, we’ve celebrated you, and we’ve acknowledged that your name is exalted in this place. Come on in the room, Jesus. Touch the people here and those at home. Heal someone right in the middle of the preached word today. Save somebody as the word goes forth. Send your word and heal diseases. Oh God, we expect from you. We sit at your table, prepared to be fed by your very own hand. Have your way, God, and we will give you the glory for it. In Jesus' name, somebody shout, «Amen! Amen! Amen!»

You may be seated. On your way down, just look at someone and tell them, «The Conquering Power of a Covenant.» I believe today’s word has the potential to change somebody’s life forever. If you’re at home, you might want to hold on to that as well. Jesus said to us, «I have come that you might have life, and that you might have life more abundantly.» So, what we must first understand is that, if anything I say resonates in your spirit, take a pen, paper, phone, tablet, or something and jot it down. Today, I believe I’m going to give you some insights that will help you as you step out of the old and into the new. He said, «I’ve come that you might have life, and that you might have it more abundantly, ” but the journey toward abundance begins with our faith.

Whenever God opens His mouth and speaks, whenever He releases a word, we must have faith in that word if we are going to prosper by it. If you are going to flourish by the word, you must have faith in the word that was spoken. In other words, if it’s out of your faith, it will be out of your reach. I’ll say that again: if it’s out of your faith, then it’s out of your reach. Therefore, we understand that our faith must be strengthened, and in order for our faith to grow, our reach must also extend. Once you strengthen your faith, your reach goes further.

I said, once you strengthen your faith, your reach goes further. The longer you live, the more you begin to understand how precious and priceless your faith is. The enemy has fought each one of us over the last 18 to 20 months in an attempt to undermine our faith. He wants our faith because he understands that if he can capture it, he can leave us hopeless and helpless. What has he fought us for? He has fought us through the pandemic because it has been after our faith. Faith is so important that the Lord Himself spoke to Simon. He said to him, „Simon, behold, Satan has desired to have you, that he might sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you.“ Aren’t you glad God is praying for you? He said, „I have prayed for you that your faith fail not.“ Not that you won’t fail, because you will, but I’m praying that even when you fail, your faith will still be alive. You’ve got to have your faith; I don’t care what you lost. If you can hold on to your faith, you can get it all back.

I said, I don’t care what you lost. If you maintain your faith, you can recover it all. Whatever we lost can be restored if we can keep the faith. Now, let’s clarify: faith is not just something we must keep; by „keeping, ” I mean we must maintain it. Our faith is not only something we must hold, but it is also something we must daily fortify. It is something we must increase; it is something we must build up like a muscle. You have to build up that muscle; you have to flex it, because if you don’t, it won’t develop. In other words, what I’m trying to say is that the more you exercise your faith, the stronger it will become. Some people don’t like to venture out that far; they’d rather play it safe and stay in a secure zone.
