The series that we’re kicking off today is called «The Kingdom of Systemic Change.» Our world needs systemic change, and I am so grateful to God that our God and our Kingdom, the Kingdom that He started, will address this. It is, in fact, very much the answer to what is needed because it is a Kingdom of systemic change. Let’s pray.
God, we honor You. We thank You so much for this moment. We thank You for Your love, Your protection, and Your provision. God, we thank You for Your truth and for Your plan—You know the plan that You have for us, even for this world. God, plans to prosper us and not to harm us, to give us a future and a hope. God, You are not shaken or troubled by that which shakes and troubles us; You have a plan. I am just thankful that You have allowed Your sons and daughters to be very much a part of the plan, and not part of the plan ignorantly. You know how to reveal things to us so that we might, in fact, be revealed in this earth. We love You, God. I thank You for the spirit of wisdom, revelation, insight, knowledge, and prophecy. God, I thank You that there will be no access to the things of God or the things of the Spirit off-limits to me. I thank You, God, that You’re going to take me places and give me the ability to articulate to Your sons and daughters divine truths that are bite-sized, that they can grasp, that they can wrap their arms and minds around. Ultimately, God, I thank You that the church is going to be stronger individually and corporately. Alleluia! I thank You for the victory that You’ve given us. God, I can hear the sound of the dry bones in Ezekiel rattling and getting ready to come together. I sense a great army, a spiritual army of justice and life, being raised up right now. So, God, let this moment serve as just a little inspiration, motivation, and edification toward that end. The verdict is in: You win! Since we’re on Your side, we declare victory in Jesus' mighty and matchless name we pray. And the people of God said, «Amen! Amen! Amen! Hallelujah!»
It has recently begun to be impressed upon me that the church in these times will have to be more than she has ever been. When I say «be more than she has ever been,» I’m not saying the church has to exceed her capacity. I mean that the church must be at her full capacity in this season because the times we are in necessitate, watch this, the fullness of the church. The fullness of the church has a lot to do with understanding the Kingdom. If I’m honest, I think I have walked in a sentiment that is very similar or perhaps aligned with some of the sentiments you’ve experienced. Many times when there are things happening in the earth that seem like more of a natural problem than a spiritual problem, I feel perplexed because I’m so invested in the things of the Spirit. Sometimes I see natural issues that require natural remedies, and I get frustrated because it seems that the very thing I’m invested in does not seem to carry over into the place of greatest need. Can I just talk to you for a second? Have you ever been there before? Have you ever felt like, «Yeah, I love Jesus, but how is this going to fix that problem?» I love Jesus, I love the church, I love the kingdom, but oh man, I just feel powerless as a believer concerning the things taking place in the world. Has anybody ever been there before? Let’s keep it real—sometimes I look and say, «God, how is this going to fix that?» Come on, somebody. Oftentimes, the thought may not come from you, but sometimes it comes from those outside of you, and they’ll say, «Well, that’s just the church doing…» Well, not in that voice necessarily, but there you go. Then, there begins an antagonizing of the church, trying to belittle it and make it seem irrelevant to the realities of the things happening today. Although those moments might be challenging for us, the Holy Spirit started speaking to me. One of the things the Holy Spirit said is, «Son, I have covered all of that and then some in the Kingdom; you just don’t understand the fullness of it.» Remember in Matthew chapter 6 when Jesus was teaching His disciples and the crowds? He basically says, «Stop worrying about what you’re going to eat or drink; just seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness, and all other things will be added unto you.»
