The title of this message is «Make Your Move.» Make your move. I’m just waiting. I’m right here waiting on God to move, and God says, «Stop lying on me. Watch this. What if God doesn’t move? He inspires us to move. What if the greatest move of God is inspiration, not that He’s going to come? Because why would God come and move? That violates the principle of free will. If I was the principal of free will, God doesn’t come and move you. No, He’s going to inspire you. That’s the move of God. The move of God is inspiration. So God breathes on you, and He inspires you, and God is gracious enough to confirm it over and over and over again until, watch this, it is clear. Now, when I say clear, I don’t mean that the steps are clear. I mean that the instruction is clear. So all you’re going to get—this is for somebody—all you’re going to get is a clear instruction; you’re not going to get the roadmap. I feel that because the Word says that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. If you study that phrase in the Hebrew, it’s really interesting because it essentially has this word picture: as you step, God erects a foundation under you. Watch this; according to your step. So it isn’t until I step that the foundation comes, and then when I step again, another foundation is erected. So God and I are in this sort of choreographed rhythm: when you move, I move. Somebody said, „Just like that.“ It’s true. It’s true; God will not move your feet for you. God just inspires your feet to move, and when you move, He moves and catches your step. He says, „See, I told you it was there. You didn’t think the bridge was there. You didn’t think the ability to walk on water was there. But when I tell you to move, just move.“ And watch this; nothing will become something. We—I feel God—we create with our movement. You’re sitting around saying, „God, God, if you open the door for me, ” and God is saying, „No, just walk up to the door expecting it to open.“ Who am I talking to in God’s house right now? God can’t open the door if you won’t walk up to it. Gotta get through this; gotta get through this. And so, transition family, hear me: change and transition, as traumatizing as it has the potential to be, is normal. Just tell somebody right now, „It’s normal. It’s normal. It’s normal. It’s normal. It’s normal.“ Now, in order—you’re taking notes, write this down—in order to normalize change, we must—you can’t walk in your fullness. You can’t walk in the full potential of your life without normalizing change, without not being shocked at the insinuation that God would want to bring transition. We get offended; God, we pray for change and then get insulted when God requires transition. Why transition? Yes, that’s what you prayed for. So, in order to normalize change—this is important—we must normalize grief. And say it again: in order to normalize change, we must normalize grief. Why? Because many times change brings with it our need to grieve former things. Yes, there’s a passage of Scripture; it’s a profound passage of Scripture: Jesus speaking, and it’s in the Beatitudes. He’s on the mountain, and He says, „Blessed are those who mourn.“ Wait, first of all, hold up, hold up, hold on. Let’s just stop right there. He says, „Blessed!“ That’s good! Hey, hallelujah, everybody wants to be blessed! But then it says, „are those who mourn.“ Wait, hold up, wait, wait, wait! What do you—? I don’t get that. It seems like those are contradicting: „Blessed are those who mourn, ” and it says, „for they shall be comforted.“ Is what it says, right? Blessed, blessed, blessed are those who mourn. So I’m like, I’m trying to understand it. Like, what is He saying? And then it hit me! Oh, because when I realized that greatness can only unfold through transition, that means I’m going to have to be willing to mourn the loss of something that cannot go with where God is taking me. And so, conversely, watch this; it’s not going to be sexy, but watch this: conversely, it is a curse to not be willing to pay the price of mourning or to grieve when it is required to get to where God is trying to take you. Uh-huh, two people said amen. Amen. Tell somebody, „Let it go. Let it go. Let it go. Let it go.“ Until somebody else—it’s not worth it. It’s not worth it. It’s not worth it. It’s not worth it. We have to normalize grief. It’s—watch this—it’s okay to mourn something that once served you. I believe it’s in „Purpose Awakening“ where I talked about how—and this, and if you haven’t read „Purpose Awakening, ” my first book, you need to get it in your life. If you don’t get it, but for one chapter called „Honing the Gift of Goodbye.“ I think that was the name of that chapter. „Honing the Gift of Goodbye.“ Wasn’t the name of that chapter? Chapter five! Somebody said, „Chapter five, that’s it!“ It was called „Honing the Gift of Goodbye, ” right? And in that, I talk about letting go of things, and I talk about, in particular, how—and this is in the context of relationships, I talk about how when it’s difficult to let go of someone when they were there when you went through…
