In the Garden of Eden, Satan sowed his own theology in human nature that would bring humanity into its own destruction. God Himself prophesied to the devil that He will have an active force of opposition to oppose and defeat him. As the Church of Jesus Christ, we are empowered to come to God with petitions and prayer to pull down the thoughts of the devil and push back the forces of hell. When the Church begins to pray, when we rediscover again who we are and we begin to realize that we are not relegated to the sidelines of history while this march of hell goes through our streets, threatening to devour everything that is good and Godly, then the powers of hell will be destroyed. The power of the Church is found in the prayer meeting.
