Happy Easter. I'm David Jeremiah. Today we join hundreds of millions of Christians around the world and celebrate the most important day in world history: the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. But as we celebrate, consider for a moment what Jesus's early disciples must have thought in the days following his death, burial, and even his resurrection. To put it mildly, they were uncertain about many things. They undoubtedly felt the emptiness that came from losing the Messiah in whom they had put all their hope, but with a vacant tomb God redefined the meaning of emptiness. From disappointment and doubt to determination, the disciples eventually understood the meaning of those difficult events.
Today in my message entitled, "The 'Emptiness' of Easter," we will gaze into the empty tomb just as the disciples did and discover how we can find faith, forgiveness, and fulfillment. So please join me for this special Easter celebration here on "Turning Point".
If you put your trust in Jesus Christ, the risen Lord, who came out of the grave, victorious over death, and shut down the emptiness for the whole world, if you put your trust in him, he will come and take the emptiness away from your heart.
