Dharius Daniels - I Don't Get Tired

I want to conclude this Sunday edition of our cheat code series. There are two verses of scripture I want to read from Genesis chapter 32, beginning at verse number 24. It says, «Then Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. Now when he saw that he did not prevail against him, he touched the socket of his hip, and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as he wrestled with him. And he said, 'Let me go, for the day breaks.' But Jacob said, 'I will not let you go unless you bless me.'» I want to talk from this subject during our time together, family: «I don’t get tired.» Clap your hands if you’re ready for God’s word. I don’t get tired. So family, I want to ease into this introduction today by articulating the truth that I have some good news and some bad news. I will start with the bad news first. The bad news is that our enemy, our adversary, has unleashed a spiritual weapon of mass destruction upon the body of Christ. In a way, my good brother has unleashed a spiritual weapon of mass destruction. Thank you, man; I’m good. He has unleashed a spiritual weapon of mass destruction on the body of Christ that is inhibiting our ability to advance as God intended. It is a weird working of the weapon because the way the enemy works it, we don’t even know that the weapon is being used against us. That’s the bad news.

But here’s the good news: I was reading Isaiah 54, verse number 16, and God says, «Behold, I created the blacksmith who blows coals in the fire, who brings forth an instrument for his work. I have created the spoiler to destroy, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper.» Listen to this: «And every tongue which rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn.» This is interesting now because the enemy is working a weapon, but through Isaiah, God proclaims that the weapon won’t work. Notice that Isaiah does not specifically identify what kind of weapon it is. The assumption we can make is that it doesn’t matter what weapon is formed. Did you hear what I just said? Notice now that Isaiah did not limit the veracity and accuracy of this statement to a certain time period, which means not only does it not matter what weapon is formed, it also doesn’t matter whenever it comes. Whatever, whenever, it won’t work. I believe I have some witnesses online and some witnesses in this room that can honestly admit that when you look back over your life, you see the wrong thing happen at the wrong time. Some of us are honest enough to admit that we’ve dealt with experiences and circumstances that we didn’t expect. We even said to God, «Not now; this is the worst time for it to happen.» But that situation gave you a revelation of what God proclaimed in the book of Isaiah: it doesn’t matter when the weapon forms and it doesn’t matter what the weapon is. God says it will form, but it will not prosper. In other words, if we don’t avoid, we will overcome. However, to overcome these weapons, we’ve got to identify them. In our time together today, I want to identify and expose what I believe the enemy is using in an attempt to inhibit God’s people from advancing. I want to expose a weapon he has in his arsenal that he’s using to rob God’s people of God’s best. This weapon, this spiritual weapon of mass destruction, this secret weapon of mass destruction, is a weapon called settling. Did you hear what I just said? I said it is a weapon called settling. The scriptures teach that the enemy comes; the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I’ve learned that he doesn’t have to steal if he can get us to settle. Did you hear what I just said? He doesn’t have to steal if he can get us to settle. He doesn’t have to kill if he can get us to settle. He doesn’t have to destroy if he can get us to settle. He doesn’t have to plunder what we possess if he can stop us from pursuing it so that we never possess it. Did you hear what I just said? What do you mean, Pastor Darius? I mean settling is intentionally or unintentionally accepting a state of existence that is inconsistent with God’s intention. That’s what I mean. I mean it’s when you look at the promises in scripture and refuse to pursue them. It is accepting the wilderness because it’s better than Egypt, but you’ve got the potential to walk into Canaan. It’s accepting good when you’re destined for great. It is accepting surviving when you’ve been created to thrive. It’s accepting a mate instead of waiting on your mate. Let me go to this side: settling is accepting a business instead of your business. Settling is a state of existence that the enemy keeps us in— not just because settling impacts us personally, but settling impacts us purposefully. You cannot accomplish your purpose if you are living in a state of existence where you are settling because purpose requires the fulfillment of your potential, and your potential is latent or untapped ability. There’s some stuff on the inside of you that you haven’t unearthed yet. There are some competencies and capabilities that you haven’t even identified yet. The enemy wants to keep you uninformed of what’s really in you. He knows what’s in you, and he knows if you ever know what’s in you, there’s nothing he will be able to do.
