The first thing about Christianity to you need to know, the gospel, is that Jesus paid for all your sins and you are before God in Christ. There Is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ. You need to know it's not what you are before God. It is who Christ is before God, that's why we talk about Jesus so much, we study about Jesus so much. We look at the Bible to see Jesus because Jesus is our standing before God. We have a vested interest in knowing who Christ is, you know all the beautiful excellencies of our Lord Jesus because God sees him as us. He is our true identity today before God.
