You can't inherit with a spirit of a slave. You cannot inherit by trying to qualify for it, by trying to keep God's laws. The very attempt to keep God's laws tells you that you don't understand what it means in Romans 7, we are dead to the law. That's why it's Romans 6, "We are dead to sin". We are dead, and in Christ, we are risen.
