I’m in a series called God’s Benefits Package. So, production team, hit them with that themed video! Come on, y’all! Stand up everywhere, on every campus; stand up while the latecomers come in. Dance with me! Come on, horns! Hey, bass, you aren’t going to bring it out any further; I’m just messing with you, man.
Hey, let me tell you something about this new series: we have an app for it. I didn’t get you all to close on it; my fault. If you download the Zion Church Mobile app—if you don’t know this, you can go to any app store to download the app—it’ll give you access to information about our church. You can go to social media, get our messages on demand, check out our podcast, latest sermons, all kinds of information about baptism, life groups, and all that stuff. One thing you can do is go to the navigation line where it says «GBP series, » which stands for God’s Benefits Package series. It will drop a menu of options; it’ll tell you about the songs, all the notes from the healing series, and we’ve added something new: there’s a 5-day devotional that we will be adding weekly to go with the series so that you can stay on theme all week. Last week was about healing; this week will be about provision. If you pull up the app, you can follow this series, take notes in the app, and use your notes.
By the way, when it comes to notes, everyone on Facebook Live, YouTube Live, on the app, and our church website, Roko TV, and Apple TV: if you get frustrated with people in the chat—like, «Can y’all give me that last point? What’s the next point? What’s the last point?”—don’t get mad at the host; they don’t have my points because I don’t give them my points. The reason I don’t give them my points is that I try to present these messages as I feel them in the moment. I don’t want to have to remember what order I gave each point in because they don’t always come out like that, and then everyone gets confused, thinking, „I thought he was on point one.“ Well, I don’t know what point I’m always on. So, that’s why we do it this way. Hopefully that’s cool; you understand? Don’t take it out on the people in the chat; they don’t know either. Just write down what matters to you—that’s what you should do. Amen?
All right, are we ready? I’m going to Philippians chapter 4 today. Now, all of God’s benefits are not found in Psalm 103; there are benefits in there, but benefits are scattered throughout His word. Today, I want to discuss the benefit of provision, which is found in one verse: Philippians chapter 4, verse 19, from the New Living Translation. It says this: „And this same God"—by the way, let me also thank, I want to thank Patrick Huber, Pastor Joya Gundlach, and Tammy Goodman for their work in building that app throughout this series. So, I want to thank them for that—give them a hand, would you please? I appreciate that!
Philippians 4:19 says, «And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs.» How many? The same God that will forgive all your sins and heal all your diseases will also meet all—how many? Not most, not some, not the majority of them—ALL. There is nothing, no need you have, that He says God won’t meet. It’s because of this: He meets the need from His glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Watch this: this is a believer’s benefit; you have to be in Christ Jesus. Let’s make that clear. The Bible says if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. Being in church doesn’t make you in Christ; someone said, «Being in church doesn’t make you more of a Christian than being in a garage makes you a car.» You’re just in the garage.
Being in church inspires your faith and feeds your faith, but you have to be in Christ. You get in Christ by accepting Jesus as your Savior and Lord. If you are in Christ, He says, «I will meet all your needs.» You know why this provision benefit is so important? Because many of us are sick because of needs we have; it’s stressing us out. We worry and become anxious about how we are going to make it or how we are going to pull something off. If it’s a need and it’s in His plan, He’ll meet it. I said, if it’s a need and it’s in His plan, He will meet it; He will make it work out. Amen. You may be seated.
Bless us, Lord, through Your word. Every one of these benefits starts with a relationship with God; that’s how it all begins. Whether it’s forgiveness—part one, we talked about that—He forgives us of all our sins. That is an amazing benefit that God will forgive us for all our sins so that we don’t have to live in shame and guilt. We never have to hold our heads down when we mess up; when we sin or fall, we confess, «I’ve sinned» get back up again, brush yourself off, and keep on walking with God. You don’t have to get stuck anywhere because He forgives us of all our sins.
