And so the psalmist writes, «I will fear no evil because Thou art with me.» Somebody needs to know this. I want to get into the message today, but somebody needs to hear that clearly in your spirit. I hear God saying, «I am with you.» And you’re saying, «God, I have a mountain in front of me. I’m in a situation; I’m in a predicament.» And God is saying, «Yes, I agree that you’re in a situation, but I am with you.» And you know what I specialize in? I specialize in delivering you. I am your deliverer, and I’ll deliver you out of the mouths of lions. I will deliver you from your trials, and I will deliver you from sickness. I will deliver you from darkness; I will deliver you from brokenness. That’s what I do! You have to know that. Why? Why would God introduce Himself to His people as a deliverer if He did not have insight concerning the fact that you would be in moments that would require His deliverance? The wisdom of God is in this: He makes Himself what you need. That’s why when Moses was trying to get a name out of God, God said, «I can’t do that because I am the help that you need in whatever situation you find yourself in.» I would just be naming names all day if I did that. So, I tell you what, when Moses was trying to figure out my name, God said, «Just tell them, 'I am that I am.'» I feel that for some of you. I hear God saying, «I am what you need.» I am what you need. «What’s Your name, God?» «I am what you need. That’s who I am. If you need provision, I am Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides.» «Well, no God, I need a healing, and nobody has ever been healed from what I need.» And He says, «No problem. Guess what? My name is for you. My name is Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals.» «Okay, God. I’m just going through, my mind is all over the place. I don’t know what—I just need some peace.» «I’ve got you covered there too. My name is Jehovah Shalom, the God who is my peace.» «God, I’m fighting, man. It just seems like I’m in a fight and I’m weary. Am I well doing? I don’t know if I have strength. I just need victory.» He says, «I’ve got you covered too. I am Jehovah Nissi, the God who is your victory.» Are you getting the point I’m making? I hear God saying, «I’ll be whatever I have to be.» And all the best, if you believe that about God, worship with me. Come on! Denver is the God we serve because I was praying for you this morning. I really sense God’s heart in Him saying, «If I could only get my sons and daughters to recognize that I’ve already worked out what they’re trying to figure out, if I could just get them there, then they can get busy doing and being everything that I’ve created them to be.» Because they are more than those who need help; for I’ve anointed you to be the help. Are you tracking with me? Yeah, you’re more than just people who need My touch. But if you would get a revelation that I will be with you and I will touch you when you need to be touched, then I can let My touch happen—not only to you, but through you. Because there are countless who need a touch from God that won’t get it until you reconcile within yourself, once and for all, that God’s got you. Just prophesy to somebody right now. Say, «God’s got you! God’s got you!» I want to move forward in our series, and I want to pick up where we left off last week. Man, we have had incredible past eight, nine weeks. It has just been absolutely amazing. God has been growing us up and building us up. Is anybody sharper this week than you were last week? Is anybody sharper this month than you were last month? God is just—it’s almost like we were on this accelerated course of development, and it’s amazing. God is just pulling out; He’s bringing to the forefront out of us what has always been in us, and I’m so grateful for God and I’m so grateful for what He’s doing in our churches. I want to continue in that vein. Last week we got into talking about the Holy Spirit, and last week we looked at the gifts of the Spirit. We examined the first five gifts of the Spirit, the first five expressions of the Spirit, and we looked at it all based out of 1 Corinthians chapter 12. I’m going to read a little bit of it just to recap. We’ll start in verse 7 and read through verse 11, and then we’ll move on today. So, I’m going to actually start in 1 Corinthians chapter 12, verse 1, and then I’m going to jump down to verse 7 because we read all those other verses last week, and we have a limited amount of time, and I have a lot I want to cover today. So, 1 Corinthians 12:1 says, «Now concerning spiritual gifts”—that word „gifts“ was actually added; most manuscripts corroborate the fact that that was added to try to give us context. So it really reads, „Now concerning the spiritual.“ „Now concerning the spiritual, brethren, I don’t want you to be ignorant.“ You can’t be ignorant here.
