I want to talk today it’s just it’s a prophetic exhortation it’s a word and it’s simply two words eyes up eyes up eyes up god’s gonna wish for that to you eyes up one more passage psalm 16 8 it says I have set the lord always before me because he is at my right hand I shall not be moved father we love you we thank you we need you and god I just I sense your rich love for every person present watching listening it is rich it is radical it is overwhelming and it is intentional and it is not your desire that one person leave out of here untouched deeply and sharpened in this area of focus to the extent that they will ride in their high places hallelujah and never be shaken to the extent that they were shaken up to this point again I thank you god that you’re going to show them how to navigate this season and every season that hidden in this this this scripture is an insight that will cause us to rise above no matter what thank you for the spirit of wisdom and revelation and insight and knowledge and prophecy and and full use to heaven’s resources full access to heaven’s resources god to produce in your sons and daughters that which is beautiful that which is divinely inspired and ordained that which will change us from the inside out forever in jesus name amen amen god bless you please be seated so awesome to be here with you um my wife and I just just celebrated um seven years of marriage it’s so so amazing uh to to see what god can do when god does something you catch all you say it’s amazing to see what god can do when god does something and we’re so blessed and we decided to get away uh we were tired y’all anybody ever been not tired we were tired like just just dragging we just drug ourselves to the airport it was it was crazy we just come off of an incredible conference woman evolve conference who went to woman evolve oh my sweet jesus what god did at that conference was just I mean in fact not what he did what what he’s doing he’s it’s still happening what would happen if you just so happened to be there what would happen to you is still happening to you and it will continue to happen to you that’s the way a touch of god works when god touches you it is an eternal touch and I’m digressing I need to stay focused but but we were tired because god was doing a lot of things and there were a lot of things happening and we just felt so blessed to to steward that that moment um and so we got away and we decided to go somewhere we had never been before and and we went um far away and overseas and the whole trip was incredible I mean it was amazing it was breathtaking it was beautiful it was heaven on earth I mean it was just awesome except for one part there there was we we ended up going to two islands and and and the first island uh you know everything was fine you know the plane everything the second island um they decided to put us on this this little teeny weeny plane I mean a little plane I wish I had a picture of it I would I would show you but it was I mean it was like I’ve never been on a plane this small before it was like I mean the thing was tiny so tiny that you know we were sitting sarah and I were sitting next to each other and we barely had enough room in the seat and then you know and then so so we’re waiting for the pilot to get in the plane and uh we’re waiting for the pilots plural to get on the plane because they’re you know the two sets of controls there and I’ve never been on a plane that didn’t have more than you know that had two pi know that’s my experience is two pilots right you got your pilot in your co-pilot in case something happens to the pilot the co-pilot is there and the co-pilot can’t ride so one guy climbs on this little itty bitty plane and I’m like where’s your co-pilot like what and this little thing we’re gonna need some backup so I said okay you know I was feeling adventurous I’m like okay baby we’re gonna you know we’re gonna we’re gonna we’re gonna this thing out a little bit you know what I mean and uh and it was real cool you know a little runway and then we lifted up over that water and uh things got a little confusing and uh you know and and so here we are on this little plane this tiny plane and we’re gonna be on this plane for an hour on a little tiny plane with one pilot and I don’t know how to fly and sarah doesn’t know how to fly and what I didn’t know until after the flight is that we were actually both freaking out inside but we had too much pride to tell each other I mean we’re in tongues and we’re smiling you know but we’re in tongues under our breath and it’s horrible and then we’re too far from the old I mean we’re just all you see is water deep water and there’s nothing around us and then I’m not gonna lie to you like you know your your holy ghost field faith believing in god for miracles this is a house of miracles now look you hear me say oh that went out the window I’ll be honest with you and I started looking at the water and then I started looking at the single pilot and then my imagination starts running wild with me and then I start thinking what if he has a heart attack and what’s sad was it should have been a compassionate thought for the guy oh that would be terrible no if you have a heart attack you can’t perform you it was bad I oh I wasn’t very proud of who I was in that moment and I started looking at the water and like like in I i almost it sounds like a panic attack almost it tried to overtake me because my mind as I started looking at the water and I started looking at the pilot and I saw the frailty of the pilot and I saw the massiveness of the water and I saw the tidiness of the plane and I’m doing all these calculations I don’t know how to fly the plane and so I spent 20 minutes looking at the gauges trying to figure out okay I think that says half a tank of gas I mean it was really I was embarrassed as your leader I was embarrassed for you for me and then I’m looking at the other control and jaylens and pilot he knows but I’m looking at the other control and I’m like okay I think if he were to pass out you know god bless you but let me get this let me get the let me get the reins of this thing I think doing this is up it and I think you know on the there’s then then there’s the speed or I don’t know what it’s called I’m gonna mess this all up but but then there’s something and I think you know up is more right up is more I i your pastor I’m on vacation I’m supposed to be relaxing but my mind is all over the place and I’m freaking out and here’s what’s even scarier this is the truth I i feel like my thoughts and what I was looking at was actually beginning to produce the um that I was afraid of I don’t know if it’s true or not but it felt like it was like there was something trying to overtake me because of quite frankly this this this focus I’m looking at the water I’m looking at the plane I’m looking at our circumstances and man just this this this fear like came over me in this panic and I you know and I have control issues and so again I’m trying to figure out how to work the plane okay if you guys that’s all right you know I mean I might even move you out the plane you know so I can have no I’m kidding I’m kidding and then something within me said stop looking at the stuff stop looking at the water stop looking at the plane stop looking at the pilot stop looking at the controls and and the more I stopped looking at those things the better I felt and we landed and I blessed the lord jesus and gave the pilot an insane amount of cash as a tip just you know but but I knew that that was the beginning of a much deeper lesson that god was trying to teach me a much deeper lesson because because you know they talk about the the eyes are the gateway to the soul but your eyes are also connected to your mind and so so this this is happening and then I go to the gym two or three days in so I thought I knew that god was trying to show me something that was clear but I was done with I’m safe and I’m not and I’m good now I don’t have to really deal with it but I went to work out a couple days later on the island I’m getting to where I’m getting I think and I go to work out at the gym and and I don’t know if you’ve ever done this but like we were gone for eight days and like only about five of those days are really like restful because when you kind of get to you two days out from return you start kind of picking up work a little bit again can we just be honest like like if you’re like me because we like in order for us to take a vacation we have to put a lot of weight down you don’t realize until you’re gone but we carry a lot of weight all the time and you can’t just go on vacation and then come home and put that weight back on you have to begin to put that weight back on slowly right so I’m in the gym I’m getting ready to work out and I just use early in the morning and I went to pray because I wanted to put my life in contact I was context I was concerned about some things some things that I needed answers on and direction on and breakthrough on various things and so I i went to pray I’m carrying these things because I felt like and maybe this is something you can resonate with I just didn’t feel like I was on top of things you ever felt like you had just a lot of things going on in your life you know and you trust god and you know about all that kind of stuff but you don’t feel like you’ve got it you feel like it’s got you has that ever happened to you before and that’s that’s kind of where I was amanda I just I i felt like I’ve got these things going on and and I know I’m supposed to be resting but but I rest better when I am on top of these things and I went on a treadmill and I just went to pray and the lord said put your eyes on me simple phrase nothing profound necessarily it’s not anything that I had never heard before but it was god’s solution for me in that moment when I’m trying to get on top of stuff and the crazy thing the cr the crazy thing that happened the moment that happened is things got lighter the the moment that I set my gaze on him just look at him it’s almost like you know I could have said well no god I got all these things he’s like no no no just look at me just just just just look at me and when I did that a shift came and those things were no longer on top of me I was on top of it things that were previously daunting became defeated in this new space isn’t that crazy in a second in a split second I went from watch this having weight on me to being weighty and all I did the circumstances never changed the situation never changed nothing changed I changed and the only thing that I had to do was to lift my gaze and when I lifted my gaze everything shifted I think that this is how peter was able to walk on water I really do I think that this this is how he was able to do it because I think that the water honestly figured figuratively represented a challenge in his life it represented something that was in his race that he needed to overcome and we all know the story about peter and we get mad at peter because peter stopped looking at jesus and he began to sink that’s just humanity I’m more concerned about the divinity in the story the divinity in the story was that peter walked on top of his circumstances oh I feel the holy spirit it was the difference watch this it was the difference between the water drowning him the circumstance the challenge the situation even for you make it personal it was literally the difference between what he was facing overcoming him to the point of drowning him to him walking on top of it and getting to his destination and the only thing that changed was where he was looking oh I feel the holy spirit can I take my time never underestimate see god was teaching me a lesson about the power of what you set your eyes on oh god I feel the holy spirit and so and so the bible says let us run the race that was set before us looking unto jesus the author and the finisher of our faith I almost called this message winning the long game because what I’m realizing now is that focusing on jesus is how you win the long game because oftentimes we are bogged down distracted greatly uh disoriented by things that are short-term issues all fill the holy spirit your life family is a race it’s it’s a race a race that has been set and the author and the finisher of that race of your faith your conviction the author and the finisher is saying the way that you get it done is to look at me yeah like intentionally back in in in hebrews 12 when it talks about looking unto jesus this is not just glancing at jesus this is not just periodically what it is convenient having a gander at jesus no this this word has the idea of fixation it has the idea of of staring god staring which is what brings that second passage of scripture into into light because it says I love it david says in psalm 16 8 he says I set the lord oh I love this I set the lord before me always because he is at my right hand I shall not be moved I set the lord this is an intentional thing oh god in other words I i view my life through the filter of jesus if if jesus is not my light filter then I am susceptible to the whims and the worries that are watch this natural to natural people but god did not save me to be natural thinking the bible says that I am a partaker of the divine nature that’s in peter right read your whole bible you’ll find it it says god try not to speak in tongues some of you may not understand that but he says when we get saved we’re made partakers of the divine nature and we spend the rest of our days post-meeting jesus trying to adapt and be transformed to this new nature this nature that doesn’t get shaken when things are crazy doesn’t get shaky when obstacles come it is a divine nature based on an identity of one who knew that the cross was coming who knew that betrayal was coming who knew that all these negative hurtful painful things were coming yet was fixed because there was a joy set before him I feel that for some of you there are some things that god has placed in your life and you are going to have to get focused you are going to have to get disciplined you are going to have to get serious about staring at jesus if you start staring at people if you start staring at circumstances you’re going to miss what god has for you but I hear god saying that when you look at me I’m going to elevate you I’m going to raise you up above your obstacles above your mountains you’re going to walk on high places if that’s you holler at your boy this morning up eyes up don’t look down here it’s too low your destiny is not down there your destiny is there there is a joy that has been set before you and jesus is that joy through the filter of jesus that’s where the power is you can’t see see that that’s why the bible says that with god all things are possible and none of us get to the possible consciousness because we don’t filter our life with jesus oh god help me so so when the promise comes it’s difficult to even receive the promise without the filter I need the filter david says I set the lord always before me because he is at my right hand I shall not be moved that’s what happens I was being moved on that plane that wasn’t even me I trust god ella come here baby come here I trust god come here I trust god we have memorized our favorite scripture it’s psalm 27 right let’s say it together the lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear the lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid when the wicked even my enemies and my foes came upon me to eat up my flesh they stumbled and fell though a host shouldn’t camp against me my heart will not fear the war should rise against me and this I will be confident one thing have I desired of the lord that will I seek after that I might dwell in the house of the lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the lord and to inquire in his temple so so when I didn’t make god my filter I was being moved I wasn’t even being to ray I know this is true come on somebody ought to praise god and then it goes on to say for in the time of trouble he shall hide me I’m talking about eyes up for some of you I like to talk about but let’s just do this stay in this thing right here for some of you I’m telling you the antidote to your season is eyes up what you stare at creates your existence some of you are living in a reality that is unnecessary because your eyes aren’t up eyes up two words eyes up letting jesus filter your life but what does that look like practically come on let’s go I’d like to go practically from a practical perspective what is how is this achieved when I think about eyes up and and looking at jesus this this this discipline creates unshakeable optimism unshakable optimism I thank god for for all of the the teaching about positive thinking and and all that that’s wonderful you know it’s it’s fine good for you helpful all that kind of stuff most of the time because you shouldn’t be positive about something that’s stupid so it does have its limitations if I might I’m sorry I guess I shouldn’t have said that but but there is this this unshakeable optimism that our lives can have full time especially in difficult times when we allow our lives to be filtered by jesus so how is this achieved what does this really mean what does the the filter of jesus really mean like what okay pastor he laid it sounds amazing and I want that okay but but like what what what is that what does that really really mean I think that you know when you start talking about the eyes and you know there’s a connection between the eyes and the mind and the mind and the eyes in fact the mind has eyes can I talk about that just for a second before I get into the practicalities so so in other words the your eyes what you see influences the mind right so I was looking at the water and oh my god my mind started bugging out right okay but then your mind also has eyes that that’s why and paul put it this way he said that the eyes of your understanding might be enlightened the eyes so you’re understanding your mind has eyes too there they are perception you have physical eyes and then you have the eyes of your understanding and so we know that we don’t see jesus with our physical eyes because we didn’t walk with him in that way hey but we can perceive jesus paul’s prayer that the eyes of your understanding is in ephesians 2 just read the whole bible ephesians 1 rather or two that the eyes of your understanding will be enlightened that you might understand what the hope of your calling is that you might perceive my my mind has eyes my mind has eyes and my eyes affect my mind so I have to protect myself in two dimensions in the physical dimension as well as the spiritual or the mental dimension so so I protect since I understand that my eyes create my existence are you tracking with me the poor pilot probably healthy as all outdoors was getting ready to have a heart attack because what I was seeing was creating something in my mind so my sight is connected to my mind that’s one dimension so I have to protect what I see there’s some things that I don’t want to look at oh how far can I digress there’s some things that I watch this make the conscious decision not to see because I’m afraid of what it will do to my mind and if it gets a hold of my as a man thinks so is he if it gets a hold of my mind I’m in trouble so so see a wise an unwise person the average person doesn’t regulate their intake they don’t regulate what they they see and they don’t regulate their mentality which is something we can talk about but they don’t regulate what they see a smart person a wise person understanding the power of sight and understanding the power what they focus the power of what you look at what you gaze at that person is very intentional and very regulated about what their eyes see I’m not doing porn can we talk about just one second I don’t I don’t do porn because I’m protecting my mind I’m not even protecting my eyes necessarily what I am protecting is my mind because I don’t want those images to be in my head who is quiet yeah it’s harmless no it’s not it affects your mind and and then you get into a relationship that you you want to be nice and pure and you freaking iggy you now when appropriate everything has its place but you don’t want to be thinking about then then be and see because you couldn’t wait for the right thing you engage in the wrong thing and now when you get the right thing you got the wrong thing in the right thing and now they’re problems yo I’m way out there man I’m way way out there this is this is not judgment this is understanding it’s not me trying to come down here I’m telling you there’s a cost your mind doesn’t go free there doesn’t mean yeah you walk by some oh god here we go there are some really uh creative shapes out there I don’t want to see your booty now you your booty’s fine it’s that’s f it’s you and enjoy it appreciate it love it respect it just know when you walk by me I’ma do this I don’t want to see it I wish I had two or three people that say something check this out job said I made a covenant with my eyes that I might not offend I made it me and my eyes are in covenant a covenant is a mutually beneficial relationship so okay okay so so I’m saying hey I I’m gonna take care of you and I is gonna take care of me so I’m making covenant with my okay and me and you I look look look we to protect each other dawg because if I if I protect you you’ll protect me so it’s a covenant it’s a covenant that says no I’m gonna let my eyes work for me and not against me oh I’m way out there but somebody needed it I’m very uncomfortable by the way too but that’s okay somebody somebody needed it so your eyes are connected to your mind watch this and your mind also is connected to your spiritual eyes your eyes of perception so as it relates to jesus and as it relates to to experiencing jesus and jesus being the filter of our life what we have to do to to access the identity and image of jesus we do so through perception perception that’s how we engage jesus we engage him with the eyes of our understanding so let’s talk about let’s get into it so how how is this achieved what do you mean what do you mean by setting jesus jesus specifically in front of you there’s just four things for for attributes or four parts of of setting jesus and and what that looks like and unpacking that that I just want to talk about it really quickly and the four things as it relates to setting jesus in front of you as the filter of your life so that you will not be moved is first of all his person the person of jesus right I’ve never seen him before but spiritually with the eyes of my understanding I experience the person of jesus the the identity of jesus um the the rel I met jesus when I was nine years old and from nine to now 49 I’ve had this relationship with jesus that has made him a person beyond him being my lord and my savior he’s a person so I set the person of jesus in front this necessitates relationship right I need to be in relationship with you and this is possible and I’ll I’ll just say this and I’m going to move on because we only got about about two more hours for this message but if you’re hearing you don’t know him personally if you don’t know jesus personally I have deduced that there are only two reasons why a person would not embrace jesus either they don’t have enough information about jesus or some way they got some misinformation about jesus because he is absolutely too beautiful he is too attractive to the heart mind soul body and life everything that makes you up jesus is too appealing to to be discarded I mean he he he is adorable he’s called in one place yeah and somebody said he’s sexy and I don’t know that’s not that might be too too far but oh jesus I’m sorry I’m sorry oh somebody help me no but but jesus is absolutely wonderful conscientious caring into you like like like really really into you and having the ability to be into you even when you ain’t into you like like you know the bible talks about goodness goodness and mercy following us all the days of man that’s attractive like like like there’s so much I can say but he’s just wonderful and merciful and kind his person number two his power it’s one thing to have somebody who don’t have nothing pursuing you I’m just being too real today I’ll be trying to push up and you’d be like whatever you have flowers he’s just trying to do the whole thing no but he’s powerful can’t you see him moving about even let’s just go biblical time he’s still doing it now but can’t you see him moving about healing and blessing and providing and protecting and moving jesus was like a major vip like major people from flying it were not flying in I guess they were riding in walking miles and miles to seeing people leaving watch this businesses to follow him leaving their power and influence people laying down their lives being willing to do anything for him his raising the dead lazarus come out casting out devils and healing blind people and all this kind of stuff no I’m not talking about some wimpy jesus I’m talking about seeing when you set him before you when he is your filter you see his person but you also see his power and when I see his power I’m not afraid no weapon formed against me shall prosper with god all things are possible his fa so when I see life when my life is filtered through the power of jesus now things that seem hard don’t seem hard no more now it’s easier to accept the promises right his person his power his priorities so when I set jesus in front of me I see his priorities and guess what his priorities are me this is you know this is kind of hard for church people I’m almost done this is kind of hard for church people church people forget that jesus is into people I’m serving jesus so you’re going to hell and you’re going to hell then you’re going to hell and you are especially going to hell you getting fail you you get a fail and you dude you don’t even know jesus because literally his priority his people it’s not even the church as the institution the institution it’s the church as the organism to bless people but it’s not even the institution I’m on my soapbox today god somebody help me but but this you know it’s it’s so funny I’m on my soulbox I’m just gonna I’ll step back down just a second but here he here is a phrase that bothers me and we hear at all times I’m just taking a stand for god so god needs you to stand up for him god is some weak being in a corner sending out christians to his front go get him please you’re not taking a stand for god you can take a stand for yourself you can take a stand for your values your beliefs that’s all fine but don’t blame it on god you’re not taking a stand for god to stand for god is to love people radically creatively innovatively that’s what it means to stand for god because god’s priority is and will always be people not some institution it’s going to be people I will leave the 99 you know what the 99 represents the institution I will leave the 99 those who have already been gathered oh I’m on my soapbox now for fishery I’ll leave the 99 to go after the one because I’m in to people but what we do is we say hey you won come over here and join the 9-9 nah doc all of the grace all of the focus all of the creativity all of the innovation all of the resources should be channeled watch this not towards the 99 but the one the filter of jesus his person his power his priorities and his promises when I said when I set jesus in front of me I’m seeing all of that I’m seeing how beautiful he is I’m seeing how powerful he is I’m seeing how into me and others he really is and I’m seeing the fact that I’ve got promises over my life I’ve got promises over my life this plane can’t go down because I got stuff to do that promises over my life this weapon form cannot prosper because there are promises over my life that I have not seen yet got to find a way to land this plane fun intended I’ve got I’ve got to be intentional I’m I’mma land it I’m gonna land it I’ve I’ve got I’ve got I’ve got to be intentional about setting god before me and then it says because he is at my right hand I shall not be moved what does that mean your right hand represents strength strength I know some people left analysis I’m just telling you what it means the right hand represents the place of strength so when I set god before me I set him before me I see life through the lens of god god this the god factor changes everything I take this away and the plane is going down fast I bring this up and my whole consciousness is different I set him up my whole perspective oh god this is going to change somebody’s life just changing just eyes up somebody right now right now I don’t want you to look at your problem anymore you have been eye level with your problem and that is a problem you’ve been looking at it like this you’ve been meditating you know that you you you talk about mindfulness some of us are mindful of our problems so it’s negative mindfulness because we are eye level with our problem and anything that you are eye level with you’re on the level of so what you’re going to do is you’re going to just just slowly but surely look up and that thing is going to get smaller and smaller and smaller so that you can run your race but you also have to make god your strength what are you trusting in one last passage I want to show you real quick it’s in psalm 27 8. you’ve seen this before you’ve heard it before it says some trust in chariots and some in horses so of course this is ancient texts we’re talking about physical things and things that represent physical strength and ability right chariots some trusts and chariots and some in horses it says but we will remember the name of the lord our god what are you trusting in what does it take to make you feel safe because that’s what you trust in oh god help me it says but we will remember the name of the lord our god then watch this it’s balanced then it says they have bowed down and fallen who who was they those who trusted in choices and horses and chariots and chariots and horses it says they have bowed down to these things watch this and have fallen man wait a minute that doesn’t sound like a good deal I bow down to you I put my trust in you and you betrayed me because I fail it says they have bowed down and fallen but we have risen and stand upright I got to stop hear me out eyes up there’s a lot that’s happening in our world right now and I get it there’s a lot of stuff that’s going on but a lot of things a lot of the breakthroughs and the victories that we want to see are going to happen through this the solutions the strategies the type of ideas that create change over conflict are not going to happen if you’re just looking at the problem eyes up I feel like transparent moment we’re going home in a little while four or five hours we’ll be out of here promise not a second longer than four hours but when the lord was dealing with me about this this message to you I was afraid because I felt like the average person lives life in a trance and our whole culture and our whole world is almost and I want to say it’s intentional but I won’t do it but it’s almost like designed to keep us in a trance because if I can distract you I can own you and I can make an economy of you oh god okay okay can I just let me just I can you look I talk about this often but you look at for the last 10 years some of the most best-selling books are all about manipulating people and they have cute titles and everything how to win friends and influence people that’s all cute I’m sure it’s a great book but think about what people are talking about people are learning and getting well versed on how to distract you eyes up eyeballs eyeballs eyeballs eyeballs is everything I’m a business guy eyeballs eyeballs how do I get eyeballs how do I get eyeballs look at that how do I get your eyes because if I can get your eyes I will control what you see if I control what you see I will control your reality I will control what you need and I just so happen to supply the need that I created within you I think one of the greatest deliverances that the world the church the body will experience in this season is their eyes getting their eyes back eyes up I want to pray for you my heart is like really really uh filled with god’s passion about this moment for you god wants to give you your eyes back things have been snatching your eyes there’s a war for your eyes every single day I promise you there’s a word for your eyes I remember my phone is not up here but I remember I was doing business with a guy 15 years ago or maybe even longer but about 15 years ago and he was saying uh ty can you bring me my phone please and he was saying thank you my friend he was saying that everything was coming to this and I laughed at him get out of here man and he meant he’s like no and I should have invested but he said everything was coming here pull out your phone real quick just pull pull out your phone I’m sorry just plug your phone raise your hand if you’ve got alerts on it right now eyes eyes I’m after your eyes put it back away because I want to keep you in the flow of this thing pookie on there or leroy what time you’re getting out of church the eyes in jewish culture and jewish culture and we’re in a jewish community right now and you you’ve seen our jewish brothers and sisters walking down and you’ll see these uh and I’m going to mispronounce it but the intention is right but they’re called zz I believe t-z-i-t-z-i c-z or z-zeismanns anyway and those tassels there they’re threaded in a particular way and they have a certain amount of threads to remind them of the commandments and it’s about their eyes that even though they have to use their physical eyes to move around these tassels hang down and they grab them every once in a while and it’s a reminder to them of what to focus on I’m concerned about your eyes I i I want you and I’m going to pray and you’re going to get this but I want to pray about the discipline of setting jesus always before you as you move about as you see life as you make decisions don’t do it without this david said I set the lord always before me because he’s at my right hand I’ve made him my strength oh god watch this I have made seeing jesus my strength I’ve made see and since I’ve done that I won’t be moved in a lot of things that are trying to move you from your place I won’t be moved move from where move from my race you’re on a race you’re in a race you’re in the race the race has been set since we are compassed about what this great cloud of witnesses let us run with endurance the race that is set before us let us lay aside the weights and the sin all these things that would ensnare us all these things that will trap us we got to lay that aside literally greek word cast off get it out of the way it’s a distraction and let us run with endurance the race that set before us looking unto jesus you know what that do I thought the endurance was just for the trials no the endurance also is in you having the ability to stay focused on jesus when real life happens to you because the first thing that goes when a blow comes is your focus stop seeing jesus overwhelmed with the issue I want to pray for some people today does that make sense is it this clear eyes up eyes up eyes up eyes up eyes up and I also hear get up because there’s a connection between your eyes up and you getting up eyes up how many times in the bible you see and he lifted his eyes and saw and he lifted his eye filled the holy spirit you are going to see something see you’ve been looking too low and there’s some things that are going to inspire you if you look up if you lift your eyes up eyes up eyes up eyes up eyes up from here on out eyes up when you want to look low no eyes up cause your future is up I want to pray for some people if you’re here and you know what we haven’t done this before since we’ve done a meet-up my family if you’re here if you’re watching and you’re like man p.t you’re talking to me because I haven’t been looking at jesus and I haven’t I’ve been overwhelmed by stuff but I almost forgot that I have a god and I’ve been trying to do it in my own strength and I’ve been trying to get free in my own strength but god is calling me to look at him if that’s you I’m just gonna mess this whole thing up but I just want you to get as close to the stage as you can I want to pray for you honey can you come up here please eyes up if you like god’s talking to me and I i just it’s gonna shift family I was going crazy on that airplane how did that happen I was being moved like who you know what I mean like I had all these thoughts in my head and mirror it was like like and here’s the crazy thing I felt like there was power in what I was thinking you might say that pt no I mean who knows what could happen if I would have allowed what I was looking at to overtake me god only knows I could have freaked out panicked and made the guy crash it was a major battle and I’ve never experienced that before but I think I went through it not just for me but for some of you eyes up if you’re here and you’ve never opened up your heart to to jesus listen family I can’t even imagine and I am a practical man you know I’m not some like weird religious person anything like that uh I’ve seen a lot of things I i had a life I’m just not that guy’s what I’m saying I didn’t I didn’t like I wasn’t like down and and god found me when I was down and that’s however you find you that’s fine it wasn’t like that you know I’ve always had some good stuff going for me in life I’ve always been by the grace of god intelligent and resourced and I’m telling you right now I can’t imagine it is a dreadful and fearful thought to be in this life without jesus for real I can’t even you know sometimes I was talking to my my wife and I was just thinking like we are so distracted a lot of the time and it’s okay I love you and just gather around wherever that pain is somebody just just gather around and love it and just love it you love it you’re not by yourself and I we’re just driving I was like like it almost feels like the majority of culture is in a trance and we’re not really rooted and grounded in nothing you know what I mean and we have we’re good people and we have good ideas and we we we want you know we we demand justice and then let me tell you something the kingdom is the kingdom of justice and and we you know and we’re after this and we’re seeking and we’re reading books and that’s wonderful you know we’re trying to gain knowledge and we’re you know we’re moving from one trend to the next and you know now is all this stuff what ayahuaka what is it called knowledge ayahuasa whatever and again I’m not knocking because people were looking for something I get it but we were talking the other day and there’s like there’s no grounding and so you got to keep going from thing the thing the thing the thing the thing if there’s nothing that grounds you and settles you you got to keep moving I get it no judgment but it hurt me because jesus is not one of many he’s it baby and not even it in the sense that I mean and everything else no that’s because that’s like religious stuff no he’s saying I’m it because I’m it. this is it wasn’t an egotistical statement when he said I am the way the truth and the life that wasn’t ego that was love in other words what you’re searching for I promise you I’m it healing victory protection breakthrough salvation blessing purpose power I got you and you don’t have to come to me perfect in fact my strength is made perfect by your weakness by your cray-cray so if you hear and you say and listen I can’t like make anybody do jesus I just talk as I as I’m led as as the unction moves me and then what he does is he touches hearts he touches hearts he touches and he says I know you I formed you before I formed you in your mother’s womb I knew you and he says I’m into you and I’ve got you and I love you and I want you and I don’t want to just be this religious figure in a book but I want to show up in your life and and talk to you at night and and be there with you in your darkest moment and show you the door out if that’s you and you’re here and you do feel that tug that draw to open up to jesus and just to say yes I want you to come here and if that’s you I want you to come all the way here and just just press through and find a way and press through my staff will help you get here if that’s you I want you to come or lift your hand or something I want to see if that should put your hand up come on don’t come come come closer just get as close as you can come on come on come on come on wherever you are our pastors are here come on yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes totally absolutely yes I’ve been walking with the lord for 21 years and I have never regretted it every single day I am more grateful and more thankful I have never I have never you will never you will never regret it you will never not not jesus not jesus not jesus come here not jesus you will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever regret ever ever ever ever you will never ever regret I promise you I promise you not him not him not him nope not jesus no no not him people maybe but not him not him not him not him not him yes this is breakthrough mode this is a breakthrough moment this is a new moment yeah you’re getting ready to meet to meet that little boy that little boy that little boy yeah that’s it that’s it I got you more importantly he got you he will never let you go he will never let you go he will never forsake you never reject you he will never ever let you go ever ever ever yeah yeah yeah hello come on let’s worship just in your own way I want you to repeat after me heavenly father I thank you for your word I receive it I thank you for jesus thank you for making him who had no sin all of mine all of my weakness all of my shortcomings all of my limitations all of my brokenness you put in his body nailed it to the cross and put it to death and when he was raised up free and victorious because I’m in him I’m raised up to and therefore I will lift mine eyes unto the heels for which cometh my help my help comes from god so from this moment forward my eyes will be up and not down in jesus name amen come on eyes up I see your eyes they’re up oh god I feel there’s victory in this I see it I see it I see it oh I see it oh you just got a secret weapon you just got a secret weapon when the enemy comes at you you just don’t do this I see it when the enemy throws something at you you’re gonna do this I see it I see it eyes up it’s gonna be amazing and you will behold amazing things hear me it’s not down here what you’re after what you’re looking for it’s not down here what’s up good to see you my friend it’s up ah it’s up up it’s up it’s up come on only up from here baby only up from here only up from here only up only up hold it up oh god oh god this is called glory this is called glory this is what we came for I know we got to go in a few minutes but this is this is what we came for we didn’t come in god’s house just to have a little no no no we came for glory he said I want to dwell among you glory we’re gonna take this glory in the streets if it is possible I don’t know if it is I i want us to seal this in communion is not a religious exercise it is an opportunity for a moment of transformation jesus said do this often do this in remembrance of me in remembrance he says as often as you do this you will show forth or proclaim the lord’s death now I gotta be honest with you I i didn’t know why we want to remember when I was you know younger less mature in the faith still a baby you know but I’m like why do we want to remember his death I didn’t you know I used to kind of freak out with you know people wear the crucifix like why you want to remember the suffering but now I get it I was wrong I get it when we look to the cross it is important to see beyond jesus dying but seeing your sin dying a condition that causes us to miss the mark sin is not an act it’s a condition that brings about a limitation that’s why it says for god made him who had no sin to become sin so that we might become the righteousness of god right so when you see jesus on the cross you have to see you have to understand what happened in the garden on the way to the cross you remember when he was saying I want this cup to pass from me what happened in the garden was he became sin and then he went to the cross and so sin yes jesus died but sin died that’s what was that’s what when he said it is finished he was saying I i have broken in my body my body was broken for you I’ve broken in my body that which keeps you broken so my journey to wholeness has a lot to do with regularly reminding myself of what god did I said it early on in the message the biggest issue that we have is amnesia we forget who we are and what we have and so we take stuff we don’t have to take are you tracking with him so communion is powerful because we get to remember and anytime we remember it creates a mind renewal and we are transformed according to paul roman’s 12. we are transformed by the renewing of our mind so communion is about mind renewal my life changes when my mind is renovated and so his body the wafer represents his body which was broken thank you my precious queen my body which was broken he said take eat this is my body which is broken now I just believe that there may be some things that need to be broken off of your life so that you can be whole right brokenness leads to wholeness isn’t that something his body was broken so that we might be whole so what has god broken that is still active in your life and I want you to think about what needs to be broken and once you get that thing or those nine things or those two things once you get that in your mind in this moment as you break the wafer between your fingers I want you to envision that thing breaking so take a minute what does the lord want to be broken off of my life so that I can be whole and once you gather it I want you to just just break the way for it whenever you’re ready body was broken we might be whole by the chastisement that brought us shalom that’s wholeness that’s peace was upon him and by his stripes we are healed if there is a sickness that needs to be broken if there is some sort of addiction or something that you can’t say no to that needs to be broken if there is a soul tie an ungodly soul tie created through an intimate relationship that you have with someone that was not ordained for you that can be broken whatever miracle this is a house of miracles there is an alliance some sort of allegiance that needs to be broken if you if you’ve dabbled in something hallelujah and you want that to be broken see some of you are coming back home and I love the fact that home always exists so once you break it I want you to take of his body thank you and now his his blood seals it hallelujah gives us access to the promises of god hallelujah we speak the blood anytime the enemy wants to con to condemn you or to judge you and say you’re not enough just say the blood but the blood oh you’ve been too wrong you’ve done too many things you’ll never know yeah but the blood the blood the powerful blood let’s seal it with that which represents the blood jesus we remember you and we thank you for this reminder this fresh reminder of what happens when we have the opportunity to look at you god we thank you that not only can we look at you but you took the time today to look at us father as we leave this place may our eyes only be locked on you and may we experience you in everything that we do what a sight you are to behold father and I thank you that this is just a fresh start a new beginning for so many of us may we carry this reminder with us when those old voices start speaking father may we be reminded that all we need to do is look to jesus thank you god for this time together and for this word and for the opportunity to be in relationship with you lead us guide us talk to us we’re open and we’re ready in jesus name I pray amen amen amen you
