Bill Winston - Reality of Redemption - Part 2

Well hello. I'm Bill Winston. And welcome to another program. The program that you're walking is called The Believers' Walk of Faith where we walk by faith and not by sight. We have an exciting teaching for you today. Now, this one, you're gonna need to take some notes on. Here's why it's so exciting. Because I'm talking about the fact that we have been redeemed, the reality of redemption and the fact that this plan of redemption involves not only the material aspects of redemption, but the spiritual aspects of redemption. Let me say it like this: The Bible says "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. For it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree. Why? So that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles". Well, who is a Gentile? That was us. People who were not in the natural line of the Jews. That was us, who were outside of the covenant. It came on us through Jesus Christ that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith.

Now why am I bringing that up? Because of this: Many times people say the blessing of Abraham is a spiritual blessing. That is not true. Praise the Lord. The blessing of Abraham is a material blessing and I'll prove it in the Word of God. We got the spiritual blessings through Jesus. We got the best of both words. Remember? We're not under the old covenant. We're under something called a better covenant. What does that better means? It didn't mean it wiped out the old covenant. It means it included the blessing of the old covenant and the blessing of the new covenant.

You see, we were blessed with material blessings through Abraham, and we were blessed with spiritual blessings through Jesus. Glory to God. All you have to do is go back in Abraham's life. Look at how he was blessed. Do you know what? God promised you the same blessing. Praise the Lord. Get your Bibles and pencils and papers ready. Get ready to take some good notes. We are going, this is a live one here. Praise the Lord. It's called the reality of redemption.
