David Diga Hernandez - Demonic Possession

I was ministering at a youth conference on the East Coast when I experienced something in the spiritual realm that I had never experienced before. I was delivering my message—I believe I was speaking about how we are the light of the world. It was a basic message, and I was going to pray for those in attendance at that conference that night. But in the middle of my sermon, while I was preaching under the power of the Holy Spirit, I could tell the anointing of the Holy Spirit had saturated that building; the power of God was resting on the people present. As I was ministering my message and was just about halfway through, all of a sudden, the Holy Spirit directed me to begin laying hands on people, to prophesy, and to impart spiritual things. Amidst all that was happening, we suddenly heard a shriek. As soon as we heard that scream, everyone in the room could sense the ugliness of it. I recognized the familiar presence of a demonic spirit; the moment I heard that scream, I knew it was someone in demonic torment—someone hoping to receive freedom from what the Lord was doing in that moment. They began to scream, and I looked over to see a girl on the floor writhing. She was twisting and turning, appearing to be in a lot of pain. What that pain represented was the spiritual and emotional torment caused by the demonic being inflicting harm upon her. She was being demonically harassed, and I knew in that moment that this girl had a demon; she was demon-possessed. I remember going to pray for her and said, «Pick her up and bring her to the front.» The ushers were trying to take her out of the building, but I insisted, «No, pick her up and take her down to the front.» They grabbed her by the arms and started pulling her toward the front, but as she approached, she pushed back with her feet. As she neared the platform, she began screaming even louder and convulsing violently. No sooner had they brought her to the altar than another shriek erupted—this time, it was a man. He began screaming, falling on the floor, writhing, twisting, and turning just as she had. I said to bring him too. One by one, all over the room, there were about three or four hundred youths and young adults gathered there. This was back when I only did youth services; I can’t remember the last time I did a youth service. I remember, because all around the room, demons began to manifest, and people started to scream. The torment and harassment began to surface in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Before I knew it, there were anywhere from 8 to 12 people who were demonically possessed, and they were all brought to the front. I instructed, «Stand every single one of them up, ” so they started picking them up. Ushers were behind each one, holding them up, and it was quite a sight to see. Everyone in the crowd was shocked at what was happening; a gasp came over the room every time someone began to manifest. Here they were—8 to 12 people in front of me, all harassed by demonic spirits, all demon-possessed. I looked down and thought, „Lord, this is going to take quite a while.“ I remember the Holy Spirit spoke to me, saying, „Don’t lay hands on any of them; just have them all stand, and you’re going to rebuke them all at once right now.“ So I trusted what the Holy Spirit instructed me to do. They were all standing, and as they stood there, I boldly prayed, „In the name of Jesus.“ That’s what I said: „In the name of Jesus, I command every demonic spirit to go now!“ When I pronounced the first syllable of His name, they all fell back onto the floor. I said, „In the name of Je…“ and they all fell out on the floor. The power of God hit them all at once, and they collectively let out a violent scream. They shook violently, and then the room went silent. Every single one of them got up off the floor with tears streaming down their faces and hands uplifted, praising and worshiping the name of Jesus. In an instant, all 12 of them were completely delivered. Last week, I taught on the origins of demonic beings and discussed the source of where demons come from. When looking at the origins of these beings, we see that they were the Nephilim.
