Thank you for joining us. If you are with us for the first time, we’re in the middle of a series on the six key doctrines. Let me just briefly highlight the significance of why we are discussing these topics. We recognize that some people have been tricked, fooled, and deceived by the enemy, and we want you to understand the six key doctrines that truly help determine your destiny based on what you believe. We hold certain beliefs that are important, and it is essential that you do not get led astray, pulled to the side, tricked, or deceived by the enemy. So, we are going to talk about these six key doctrines. We have already covered three of them, and we will pick up with number four tonight.
We previously discussed the source of authority, spending time looking at the Scriptures, the Bible, and why we trust in the Scriptures and place our confidence in them. They dictate what we believe and how we live our lives. If you missed that teaching, I encourage you to go back and watch it; you can find it on our YouTube channel or our website. It is essential that we have a source of authority. All of us believe in something, and that something serves as our source of authority. Unfortunately, for many, that source may be their own opinions, a rock star, a television personality, or some other book. For me, it is the Holy Scriptures, which we believe God spoke and directed as our path. Within those Scriptures, we learn about the second doctrine: the doctrine of God -His nature, who He is, and what He is. Again, I urge you to explore this; it’s crucial to ensure that you are worshiping the right God, the true God, the Living God.
Our third doctrine was the doctrine of Jesus Christ. We believe, are persuaded, and are convinced that He is the source. As a matter of fact, the Scripture states in John 14:6 that Jesus said, «I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man can come to the Father except through me.» He is the only source. Some have asked me how Jesus could be the only way, as many believe there are multiple paths. However, Jesus stated there is one way. We examined and studied the nature of who He is, His existence, His power, and His person. If you did not participate in that discussion, I encourage you to revisit it because understanding who He is and what He represents is very significant for our eternal destiny.
Thank you for joining us again tonight. I wanted to take a moment to reflect on those three doctrines, and I am going to pray. I will spend a moment in prayer, and then we will dive into point number four today, which is the doctrine of man. We will explore mankind and what we believe about human beings.
While we pray, let me remind you of something I always tell our church members and friends: ensure you have a " Francis list.» Francis lists include your friends, relatives, acquaintances, neighbors, co-workers, and even enemies or strangers who need the Lord and a relationship with Him. We call it «Francis» (F-R-A-N-C-E-S). These are individuals you are keeping before the throne of God, interceding on their behalf, and calling their names before God. I believe that if we pray and cry out to God, He will draw people to His kingdom. I firmly believe this, so I want to remind you to keep them in your prayers.
Okay, let’s pray. Father, we thank You for Your lovingkindness and Your tender mercies. Thank You for the doors You have opened and the blessings You have provided for us. You have been such a gracious God. We do not deserve Your goodness, and so we come together this Tuesday evening to give You glory, honor, and thanks for every door You have opened, every prayer You have answered, every miracle You have performed, and every victory You have granted. As we begin this Bible study tonight, we ask You to anoint our session, grant us clarity of thought and communication, and allow Your truth to prevail. We pray that You will speak to Your sons and daughters, granting them a clear understanding of this teaching tonight.
As we pray, we also lift up those we know need You- people who have been estranged from the church or have distanced themselves in their walk with You. We pray for their salvation, restoration, and reconciliation. We are praying for those who are unchurched and have disconnected from the kingdom of God. Draw them to You, Lord; this is my eternal prayer. Father, I ask that You open doors and touch their hearts, drawing them to Your kingdom. In the marvelous and wonderful name of Jesus, we pray for our friends, relatives, acquaintances, neighbors, and co-workers.
