What did Jesus say under the law, in the Gospels even, in the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, right? What did Jesus say, though it's not in all the Gospels, what did he say? "Forgive in order for God to forgive you". But when Paul wrote in Ephesians and Colossians, Paul says, "Forgive because God has forgiven you". The motivation is different. And it's not pitting Paul against Jesus, no. This is Jesus before he died and rose again, and Paul's words in Ephesians, Colossians, in Galatians, they are not Paul's words. They're the words of the ascended Christ, seated at the Father's right hand. He gave Paul the words to write.
