Sheryl Brady - If You Want to Level Up, Then You Better Listen Up

On your way down, tell somebody, «If you want to level up, you better listen up!» I’ve had so many thoughts, uh, since last Sunday going through my mind and spirit, and all the way up until this morning, I was saying, «Lord, what are you saying?» I’m telling you this to convey that if I sound like I’m going in a thousand directions, that’s because that’s how it’s been all week long. I just can’t do anything about that because if I could have, I would have. I’m a pretty focused person, but I have really begun, just in the last several days, to hear God in a fresh and new way. Bishop and I were having a conversation the other night in the car, discussing what is happening in our world, what is occurring in our land, what is going on? As we began to talk, he said, «Well, it’s the kingdoms of this world colliding with the Kingdom of God.» He said, «This is that overlapping moment,» and I just said, «Well, I hope the Saints are ready for this moment.» We have preached about this moment, we have shouted about this moment, and I, we have warned, and other preachers have warned. We’ve talked about the time when the kingdoms would collide, and that is where we are at right now. It’s imperative that we listen closely to the instructions of the Lord; it is imperative that we hear and obey. For those who are visitors today, first of all, I welcome you and I’m glad you’re here. I very rarely take a service for this purpose—maybe once every couple of years. I will teach and talk about money. I talked about it last week. Did y’all enjoy last week? God blessed us with that word, and I’m appreciative of it. If we take it, master the principles, and live by them, He will bless our lives. I seldom talk about it, so today I thought, «Well, I don’t necessarily want to discuss this again, God,» but I have no other choice because God said to me, «I want my people to be blessed, and you have to talk to them about it.» So I’m going to share what’s on His heart and mine, and hopefully, get you out of here in less than 45 minutes. Amen, amen! It’s not often that I take a service to discuss finances and economic destiny. However, while everybody is in pursuit of, «Oh, I want my destiny. I want to do this. I want to do that,» all of which is great and wonderful, we need to find it because when our feet hit our destiny, all things that were horrifying begin to work together with all things that were wonderful, and it hits our lives because we have found our purpose. But in the middle of all that, I don’t want you to forget that you have an economic destiny that you must reach as well. The devil is not going to provide for the Kingdom of God, and he will do everything in his power to make sure and attempt to get everybody to shut down. But how many of you know—I’ve said it for years—I feel as though I have been called to be a Kingdom financier? I think I’m one of those because there’s got to be more to making money than just paying your rent, paying your car, buying groceries, and all of that. Some of us need groceries right now; Lord, I need them in my belly! But the truth of the matter is that God wants to get money to us. Do you know that today God wants to get money to you? Some of you have not even seen your greatest financial year yet! Woo! You haven’t even seen it. If I were you, I’d praise Him right now for that. Don’t miss the moment; you haven’t even seen it yet. That’s exciting to me! But it would do me no good just to tell you about how God wants to bless you if I don’t explain that there’s a purpose for the blessing. I think it’s important that we talk about why we do what we do so that we can gain understanding. The Bible says, «In all your getting, get understanding.» Whenever you do things without understanding, I’m not sure that we maximize the benefits that come to us. In all things we do, we must get understanding. One of the things I learned many, many years ago is that when I worship God with my finances, I don’t do it because I feel pressured. I said that last Sunday—never come in here feeling pressured to respond to God with a seed. It ought to bear witness with your spirit, and you should say, «Yes, this is mine. This is the one I’m supposed to sow into.» I never want anybody to feel pressured, so I don’t sow because I feel pressure. I don’t sow because of the person sitting next to me.
