David Diga Hernandez - Watch This if You Feel Like Giving Up

Whether you realize it or not, your life is impacting those around you. Your faith matters; living wholly matters; your daily prayer life matters. Everything about you matters. God wants to use your life on a daily basis. He wants to use your life to impact people right here, right now. You may say your decisions don’t really impact anyone, and you might think your life is insignificant. You might imagine that your decisions don’t really have any consequences outside your own life, but the truth is this: every life impacts other lives. That includes your life. The way you live actually counts for eternity. The fact that you haven’t quit is going to impact someone. The fact that you haven’t given up is going to change someone’s life. Sometimes life gets hard; sometimes things come against us, and sometimes our faith becomes shaken. But if you hold to the truth, if you stand firm, if you hold fast to your confession in Christ Jesus, then God will continue to use your life. Whether you realize it or not, people are watching you; whether you can see it or not, people observe how you live. Therefore, your faith matters. I want to show you a very popular portion of Scripture, and then I want to present something else that you may not have seen. In Mark chapter 5, we read the story about the woman with the issue of blood. Let’s read now Mark chapter 5, beginning at verse number 25. A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. She had endured a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better; in fact, she had gotten worse. She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe, for she thought to herself, «If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.» Immediately, the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition. Jesus realized at once that healing power had gone out from him, so he turned around in the crowd and asked, «Who touched my robe?» His disciples said to him, «Look at this crowd pressing around you. How can you ask, ‘Who touched me? ’» But he kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell to her knees in front of him and told him what she had done. He said to her, «Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace; your suffering is over.» I love that! That story always stirs my faith. Here is a woman who had suffered tremendously. The Scripture says that she had spent all she had on medical professionals; she sought an answer, she sought a cure, and instead of getting any better, she actually became a lot worse. I imagine—though I speculate—that she was probably a woman of wealth. After all, it took her all those years to spend everything she had on doctors. Now, despite the fact that she had received no miracle and the fact that she had suffered disappointment after disappointment after disappointment, for some reason or another, she said within herself, «If I can just touch the hem of His garment, I could be made completely whole.» What faith is this? What unshakable, steadfast faith this woman had to be able to say, «I don’t know about everything else that happened; I don’t care about everything else that happened. All I know is that right here, right now, I’m going to try again. I’m going to seize another opportunity because passing by me is the one I know who can heal me.» She saw Jesus; she had heard the stories. I’m sure she noticed the crowd gathering around him. Instead of saying to herself, «Well, I’ve been disappointed again and again, ” or „This is probably just going to be another person who lets me down, ” she said within herself, „If I can just touch the hem of His garment, I will be made whole.“ What faith this woman had! What tenacity! She stood firm in her belief that she would receive her miracle. Maybe you’re in a season like that. Perhaps you’ve tried everything to overcome your situation. Perhaps you’ve received all the prayer, attended all the conferences, read all the books, heard all the prophetic words, listened to every sermon, and studied every teaching, yet something has not broken. You have yet to receive the miracle you seek; you have yet to receive the breakthrough that brings you closer to the Lord. Everything in you says, „I know I’ve suffered disappointment; I know I’ve gone through some setbacks; I know I can’t see how God is going to do it right now, ” but something in you is saying, „He makes a way where there seems to be no way.“ Something in you is saying, „I know I’ve suffered disappointment, but if I can just touch the hem of His garment, I know I’ll be made whole.“ So this woman, filled with faith, pushes through the crowd. She pushes through the opposition and seeks out Jesus. She finds him. That’s what you need to do: push through the crowd. You need to push through the crowd of doubt, the crowd of cynicism, the crowd of bitterness, and the crowd of disappointment. Come to the place where it’s just you and Jesus, where you can grab hold of him and touch him in faith. That’s all you need: just one touch.
