Well, what’s up? Welcome to Thrive in 2025! I’m Dr. Darus Daniels, and I’m here with my co-pilot, Dr. Marcus Dley. We are so grateful to be here and thankful for the opportunity to minister as we celebrate. It’s not the first Wednesday of 2025, but it is the first Thrive event of 2025, and we are so glad to have you with us. Here’s what we believe: there are areas in our lives that are not addressed by teaching. Some areas in our lives need a touch; there are aspects of our lives that can’t be fixed with principles. We need power, presence, truth, and fire. This is why we create space for prayer during Thrive. There have been some requests that have come in, and we want to lift up just a few of them today.

Clarinda James is believing God to minister to her in the area of her soul. April Chambers is praying for protection. We are lifting up Banna Graham, who is seeking wisdom and guidance. Valaria Gorel is praying for assistance in the area of relationships. Kayla Davis, listen to me—we are believing God with you for financial breakthrough. And Mr. Philip Nash is praying for employment. We are getting ready to pray, but, Doc, I want those of you who are in the virtual sanctuary to not just listen to us pray. I want you to release faith alongside us!

Yes! I just finished teaching at our church on Sundays. I’m in a series called «Good,» and it’s on YouTube if you want to see it. I recently completed a sermon called «Goat Talk,» and goat talk is prayer. Yes! We know how to pray to Jesus, but in the sermon, I taught us how to pray like Jesus because there are three ways you can do anything: culture’s way, church’s way, and the King’s way. When you pray like Jesus, you get results like Jesus. You walk on while others drown. Here’s a point I’m making: I’m walking through some traits of praying like Jesus, and part of what it means to pray like Jesus is corporate consciousness. That’s what he spoke to the disciples about in the Garden of Gethsemane—“Pray with me, ” he said. You could not pray with me for one hour!

When you learn to pray with corporate consciousness, you move from praying «me» prayers to praying «we» prayers. If you ever get into «we» prayers, those prayers put you in a position where God takes care of your «me» issues. Did you hear what I just said? You pray with a consciousness of the needs of the body, not just what’s going on with you. Here’s where God challenges believers, and it’s a struggle. It takes faith to actually put yourself second. He never says to put yourself first. He never says to seek yourself first. That’s right! He says if you seek the kingdom first and His righteousness, then I’ll add. If you try to put yourself first, you’ll never be first. But if you put Him first, then He’ll add. If you want to save your life, lose it.

So today, as we pray, you may not have any of these issues on these cards, but someone does, and one day it will be your turn, and you’ll need someone to release faith for you. God, this is important. Pastor, I know sometimes people like to skip past this part and say, «Let me just get right to the word.» You can’t even implement the word without understanding the power of prayer!

So, Father, we release faith today. We come into agreement and believe you for these requests that have been lifted up. We pray for financial breakthrough. You are the Lord who provides and supply the needs of your people according to your riches and glory. We pray that her need is amply supplied in the name of Jesus. We pray for those needing breakthroughs in the area of mental health. Your word says you keep us in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you. I pray for the peace of God to guard hearts and minds in Jesus’ name. May the peace of God be a hedge around the heads and hearts of your people.

I pray for those dealing with relational challenges and struggles. For those who need a door open in the area of employment, I thank you that you’re going to meet the needs of your people. We also pray for the requests that we did not mention—the requests in the secret chambers of men’s and women’s hearts. Your word says you hear in secret but reward openly! So hear the cry of your people and meet every need, we pray in the name of Jesus. We believe it’s done! If you believe it, flood the chat with «Amen»! Flood it! Flood it! Flood it! It is done!

Well, listen, I’m super excited about the opportunity to come back live with you. When we can’t be here to create this kind of content, we go back into the vault and pull out some old-school sermons.
