Today the Bible use the term "God is righteous in making us righteous," not "God is merciful". He is merciful, but in the context here, it's saying, "God is righteous in making us righteous". Oh, hallelujah for what Christ has done. To him be glory forever and ever, amen? A Christian life is a life not of fear like you're so afraid to come to God because God is cognizant of your sins. No, it's a life of boldness, amen, attesting to the work of Jesus, glorifying him and coming boldly to God.

God is not dealing with us based on sins. God is dealing with us today based on his Son, not on sin, our sin, but on his Son. Say this after me three times: "One sacrifice for sins forever". Say it again: "One sacrifice for sins forever". Say it again: "One sacrifice for sins forever," amen, amen. The work of Jesus, the Son. The clause that makes God able to put his laws in our hearts and write them on our minds is this clause, knowing this, that God is merciful, "propitious," in the Greek, to my unrighteousness, and my sins God remembers no more. Your sins God remembers no more, amen?

And it's not because God is going easy on sin now in the New Covenant. No, God is still a holy God, amen, and forevermore a trice holy God, but God remembered that, when Jesus hung on the cross, he has punished all your sins and my sins in the body of Jesus Christ, and God remembered our sins then. Like, in the Old Testament, God says, "I'll remember your sins, and I'll visit your sins to the third and fourth generation". Now he says, "I'll remember your sins no more". No more means you'll never be visited by God for punishment. Your sins God remembers no more, hallelujah.
