Tune in as Pastor Keion uses the story of the split between the first Adam and the last Adam in Genesis 2:18–25 and 1 Corinthians 15:45 to teach you how to develop the power to manage, the courage to call, and the ability to restore.
I want to talk today on the subject of fraternal twins. You may be seated in the presence of the Lord. Fraternal twins, whenever you give birth, and I pray that all of your births from this place forward are productive, you have a few options. Number one, most commonly, you can just give birth to a boy or a girl. Some of you will get lucky and have two at a time. Somebody said, «I don’t know how lucky they are.» Everybody is lucky if they can get both of them out of the way at the same time. If you have twins, you have twin options. Aside from Siamese twins, which is a zygote that began the process of splitting but never completed, you have the proposition of having identical twins or fraternal twins. Contrary to popular belief-I know you know this deep down inside — we typically tend to identify identical twins based on how they look. We look at two people; they are twins. We see them and say they look just alike; they must be identical twins. But the truth is that sometimes you can look alike and be fraternal. Likewise, you can look at two twins who have nothing in common; they don’t even look like brothers or sisters. Then you look within the DNA molecular structure and find out that they are actually identical twins because identical and fraternal are not defined by looks but by the process that takes place within the womb. When you are an identical twin, it gives the idea that one zygote, one egg, was fertilized by one sperm cell, and those two individuals came out of one symbiote. Mitosis: one egg produced two souls. But fraternal means that somewhere in the process, the one egg split into two and gave you two living beings who are twins because they are born at the same time, but are fraternal because they did not come from the same place. Is this making sense to you? That 's important because Paul says that the first Adam is a man, a living being; the second Adam is a quickening spirit. So we are introduced to the Adams family, but we find out that these two young men, although they are the same, are nothing alike. One of the Adams got us into trouble; the other Adam would get us out of trouble. One would be a human being, one would be-thank you, John-one in fourteen; he would be the Word made flesh and consequently tabernacled amongst us. Look at that shadow: he became flesh and tabernacled. Moses had a tabernacle which was the housing of the presence of God. Look at the shadow: Adam, garden, Jesus, tabernacle; both carrying the presence of God. As we look in the scripture, we see that there was a splitting of the two: there was the first Adam and there was the second Adam. As we look at the text, the Bible lets us know that one of the Adams came, but he was not born. Everybody say he was created. This is important; don’t miss a class because Adam and Eve were the only ones — the first ones, to say created. Every person after the first Adam would be born, including Jesus. Jesus would be born, but he would not be born like you and I because he is made of something different. Remember, he’s a fraternal twin, so he was born of a virgin named Mary without the affluence or influence of an earthly father. That 's the difference between you and I: your mother and father had to connect, but God picked a woman, sent his seed through 42 generations, put it in her fallopian tube, and then breathed on her and made her the virgin that she might produce a birth that was not adjacent to a man. Because had Joseph gotten her pregnant, his flesh would decay, so since his flesh could not decay, Mary had to be impregnated by Spirit. God is Spirit, and so he is Abba Father; he is the beginning. He began before the beginning began. God never became; he always is. You can never connotatively lean or accurately discuss God ever as «was» because if you ever attach «was» to him, then it is a past tense terminology, and God is a very present help in the time of storm. The reason why I know that you must always present him in the present is that he always presents himself in the present. In fact, while he was standing in eternity, he spoke to himself and said, «Let us make man in our image and after our likeness.» When we get to the place where Moses is sent to Egypt to take Israel out of captivity, he says, «I’m going to go there,» and I stutter, «they’re not going to accept me. Who am I supposed to tell them sent me?» He did not say, «Tell them the one who was and he is and is to come.» He says, «Tell him I AM sent you,» because I want you to know, and I want you to tell Pharaoh that the man that is about to cause an eviction notice never began; he always was. Since " Pharaoh always is,» then «is» is before you brought them in. I know it doesn’t sound like correct English, and I know you’re like, «What are you talking about?» His ways are not our ways, and his thoughts are not our thoughts. He is-somebody said he is-he always is. He never was. He stepped out on that thing, spoke to nothing, and something became. Can you imagine that? When God created the world, he stepped out into a solar system that had not yet begun to spin and spoke into existence.
