There’s this room you’ve already done it. Jesus, I wish you would thank you for what you prayed for this morning. We serve a God who—duh—uh-huh, yeah. Yeah, that’s the type of people we are; we don’t wait until the battle is over. We believe that the battle was fought and won on that before today. Oh yeah, yeah, you, the worshiper; you’re a different type of praiser. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, you’re. You don’t wait to see it; you just believe it. You walk in the victory of it being accomplished. Sorry, time’s trash, sir. We’re a different type of people—people who believe our God. We’re people who believe that He cannot lie. If He speaks it, it’s already done. We’ve begun to reply. We kick back with people who know how to rest in the promises of God. All I need is a promise—just speak a word and I rest. We’re a different type of people—unshakable, unmovable. I’m thinking about the Centurion, and he needed something from Jesus. His daughter was sick at home and he caught up to Jesus. He said, «Jesus, my daughter is sick.» Jesus replied, «Man, I’ve got you; I’m going to come to your house and fix it.» But he said, «No, no, you don’t have to do that. Just speak a word.» He says—Pastor Gary—he says, «I know how this works. I’m a man of authority and I am under authority, so I know how it works. I know the authority of your word. I don’t even need you to come there; just say it’s going to happen, and I am satisfied.» And Jesus says to him, «Go your way; it shall be done.» He goes home and walks right into what God had promised his daughter. I feel the Spirit of God in here tonight. I’ve got to look for some people that will just say, «God, speak. Speak alone. I understand the weight of Your word. You spoke, and everything that I’ve come to call the universe became at Your word.» This is who we are; this is what a believer is. Why do you think we’re called believers? It’s because that’s what sets us apart. We believe what God says, and it is in that belief that transforms our lives—first in us and then around us. That’s not the message, but I feel like preaching. I feel like preaching. That’s why we’re called believers; it’s our belief that is our distinction. Most people have to see to believe; all we need to do is hear, and then we believe, and we get the same inner results that most people have to wait for. Most people’s process is worry, anxiety, angst, frustration, confusion, until manifestation comes—more gray hair, frailty, driving everybody around them crazy. And then God moves, and they say, «Oh!» A believer is different. A believer doesn’t have to see it all; a believer just has to hear it. And once a believer hears it, something inside them agrees with that which is to come, and they are not worried. They suddenly get happy because they know that the moment God spoke, it was making its way to them. So that is your distinction; your unique quality is that you can believe, and don’t let anybody rob you of that. Alright, come on, still, how we got to this message? Look, I’m on Twitter. Let’s go to Luke chapter 11. Now it came to pass as He—here is Jesus—now it came to pass as He—Jesus—was doing what? Praying. He prayed a lot. I have to get through this; I’ve got to. He prayed a lot. In fact, what people don’t realize is what undergirded His ministry, what gave Him the strength, the power, and the ability, what allowed Him to live in the dimension that made miracles normal, was His prayer life. I just said something; I just said something. I’ll say it again just in case you missed it. We look at His miracles; oftentimes, we don’t look at His prayer life. What allowed Jesus to maintain the space in the consciousness, the power, the energy, and the grace to perform the miracles that He performed was His prayer life. His ministry was undergirded by His prayer life. Are you tracking with me? So much so that His disciples were so moved by His prayer life that they asked Him—you’ll see it—they asked Him to teach them how to pray. It says now it came to pass as He was praying—in a certain place—when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, «Lord, teach us how to pray,» because every time you come out of that place of prayer, there’s something in your eyes. Every time you come out of that place of prayer, it seems like you are energized, that you’re powered, and you’re ready to go on to the next city. Even though you’ve got people talking about you, and even though you’ve got people trying to kill you, it doesn’t matter. You become relentless, focused, and empowered, and your life is working. I’ve made a connection. I’ve been studying you, Jesus. I’ve watched you, and I see your power. I’ve been wondering where that power comes from, and then I stumbled upon you in your certain place.
