When you get desperate, it’s easy to lose integrity. It is, yeah. So, the non-negotiables, I guess, is what I’m getting at. I would say, taking that same analogy, I don’t know how a person can make the right decision when it comes to marriage if they aren’t clear on what their non-negotiables are. Yeah, yeah, it can’t be marriage at all costs; it has to be marriage with the one who is suitable for marriage. Some people love marriage so much that they choose wrongly because they’d rather be married. You and Shamika have an incredible relationship. How important do you feel having that relationship has helped you in business and other areas of your life? For me, it’s probably one of the most important things, and I’m going to tell you why—really practically. So, it has been one of the most important things because having a relationship that is not rocky allows me to give mental real estate to the businesses I’m leading and the people I’m serving. You understand? I’m not having to balance in my mind fixing my relationship and fixing what’s going on in the company. No, it is, yeah, it is. So, the relationship provides me with a steady foundation I can stand on while trying to build other things. It also becomes like a safe place—replenishing, refreshing, rejuvenating, reinvigorating—because a leader must be a problem solver. So, when you expect… you know what I mean? If you’re going to be a leader, you have to solve problems. You have to wake up every day knowing you have to solve some problems today, so you don’t want to come back home to another one. So, I feel like that’s one of the reasons. I’m not saying this is everybody’s scenario, but my wife is incredibly gifted. She actually adds value to what we’re doing. Using some of the EOS language, I’m the visionary—the creative. She’s the integrator. I am the one saying where we’re going; she is the one who says, «Okay, we need a train, plane, and automobile to do that, and I’m going to go find it.» So for me, it’s kind of those two places. I remember when you were building a facility, you said, «I don’t even really know; she’s just handling that.» I remember you saying she even helped save money in some areas, and that’s 100% unique because not every wife is trying to save money. Some are just trying to spend as much as possible. As the Bible says, «The man who finds a good wife has found a good thing.» So that’s great. What would you say to somebody who is like, «Alright, because, like, I think we talk about this. I used to be married; I was married for almost 11 years. Now, you know, not anymore, and she’s an incredible person; it just didn’t work out. What would be some steps for that next chapter?» You know, like, «Okay, you want to have a steady relationship, a business mindset, and you’re trying to find that person. What are some things that you would encourage in considering?» So, I think it’s going to be really important. I think you mentioned, and I’m going to give an example that has nothing to do with marriage, and then I’ll circle back and do a quick… You know how you mentioned earlier I kind of have my feet in two worlds—kind of like the spiritual space and then the business space? Well, having my foot in the business space allows me to serve the spiritual space better. Got it? It’s because I don’t have the pressure of the spiritual space succeeding. Yeah, does that make sense? It’s not necessarily feeding my family. So, I can have some non-negotiables, and it’s easier for me to stick with a standard because it’s like, «Yeah, I’m not playing games. I don’t have to manipulate you.» And that’s not just because, hopefully, a lot of it has to do with character; it also has to do with just how I’ve positioned myself.
