God gave us his Son for the sole purpose of removing this wall that separated him from us. And therefore, when Jesus died on the cross, the first thing God did, the Bible says, it was from top to bottom. That means someone unseen tore the veil that separated man from God, telling us that God came out to where man is, and sin is no more a problem. So, a sinner, a prostitute, a tax collector can be in the presence of Jesus and still not drop dead. This is a new covenant. This is grace.

As far as God is concerned, Jesus just died just now, because for God there's no 2,000 years on. God doesn't live in time. God created time. God is outside time. So, you've gotta live life as if Jesus just died just now, and live in the freshness and the reality of it.
