I want you to turn to Joshua chapter 3. In Joshua 3:1, the Bible says that Joshua got up early in the morning, removed from Shittim, and came to the Jordan, he and the children of Israel. Ask your neighbor, «Will you go with me?» I am praying that in 2025, you won’t have to go anywhere important by yourself. God will send you some divine support, someone to hold up your arms and pray for you until you get to the other side. It came to pass after three days that the officers went through the camp and commanded the people, saying, «When you see the Ark of the Covenant and the priests and the Levites bearing it, then you shall move from this place and go after it.» Just touch somebody and say, «Go after it.» You know, that’s what I should name this sermon. That’s what I might change. This morning, I preached a message called «Canceling the Cycle,» but I might just preach, «Go After It» right now because some of you are waiting on 2025 to bring you something. Now, you are going to have to go after it. That’s what I’m going to preach. Just touch three people before you sit down and say, «Go after it.» You may be seated in the presence of the Lord. Go after it, go after it.

In 2024, there were at least 45 floods that occurred globally—not just rain events, but classified as floods. Twenty-seven of those floods happened on the continent of Africa alone. The United Arab Emirates, or the UAE, posted more rain on April 15th of 2024 than in any year in its history. What do you do when you get more rain in a day than you’re accustomed to getting all year? What do you do when you have a year that seems to give you one problem after another? What do you do when you have a month that has situation after situation? What do you do when you have a week where you just can’t get a break? Monday is messy, Tuesday is terrible—it’s just thing after thing. More rain in a day than a year—a flood.

I want to ensure I don’t insult your intelligence, but I want to clarify our definition of a flood. A flood is not merely the presence of water; it is the absence of capacity. I could take a gallon of water right now and pour it into this bottle, and the bottle would flood. I could take the same gallon and pour it into the bathtub, and it probably wouldn’t even wet the bottom surface because it is not about how much happens to you; it’s about how much you can handle. The Bible says in Isaiah 59, when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord will raise up a standard. The word «standard» means a flag, and whenever a country raises its flag, it is declaring war.

So, what God is saying is that when the enemy comes in like a flood, He’ll raise a standard. He’s really saying that when the enemy comes after you, He’ll wage war against him. God wants to ensure that when the enemy messes with you, he knows he’s also messing with God. That’s good! That’s really good! A lot of people in the room should have lost their minds. You mean to tell me that when the devil comes after me, he has to deal with me and my God? Now, devil, you might be stronger than me, but is there anything too hard for God? I can answer that question before the message is over: there is nothing you are going through that God hasn’t already precipitated a response to, sir.

That’s why you should not wait until the battle is over. That’s why those of us who believe by faith shout in advance because we don’t fight for victory; we fight from victory. This means if it isn’t well, it means God isn’t done because God only ends with «well done.» If it isn’t well, God isn’t done because God only does things «well done.» If it isn’t well, God isn’t done because God always finishes with «well done.» If it isn’t well, then God isn’t done because He only finishes with «well done.» If it isn’t well, maybe you don’t understand ebonics. If it isn’t well, then it means that God isn’t done because God always ends with «well done.»

Can I tell you, by the time you get through struggling, by the time you find out your swag, by the time you get in your groove, every devil in hell is going to have to apologize for attacking you on God’s premises. I don’t know who I’m talking to, but I’m speaking to somebody in the room that the half hasn’t been told. That’s why we always say weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Somebody shout, «God is with me! God is with me!»

Now, the Bible says that there are also floods in the physical realm. The greatest flood of all was the Great Flood. What happened? God looked upon the earth and saw evil. He looked on the earth and saw evil. What is His response to evil? He said, «It repented God that He made man, ” so He sends a flood to get rid of the evil by flushing the earth away from evil. Now, He doesn’t do this without instruction. He says, „Noah, build the ark.“ Noah builds the ark and invites everybody, saying, „God says it’s going to rain,“ and they say, „What is rain?“ Noah responds, „Something’s getting ready to fall.“
