Desperation is a necessary requirement for fulfilling destiny. When you are out of options, then God goes into action. Sometimes the breakthrough occurs when we have nothing to prove. As long as we are within the circle of comfort and convenience, there may be certain aspects of our calling that may never find expression. In Mark 2, four men broke the roof because they believed that Jesus could heal their paralyzed friend. Regardless of the damage to the roof they made, Jesus didn’t see the mess, He saw their faith, and He performed a miracle. Sometimes, the mess comes before the miracle and the dirt comes before the deliverance. If you are willing to step out in faith, you can receive all that God has for you.
The Bible says, «Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.» If God has been good to you, I want you to open your mouth and give God the biggest shout in this place! That, that, that was a scream! That was a scream! That was a scream! And you know it! It was not a scream that brought down the walls of Jericho; it was a shout that brought down the walls of Jericho. So I want you to look at your neighbor to your left and to your right and tell them, «God is about to do something in this place, and that’s why I’m about to shout, because the shout inside is the victorious side.» So open up your mouth! Come on, open up your mouth and give Jesus the biggest shout out in this place! Amen! Amen! Alright, now you can’t do that! I have 24 minutes to be out of here for this first service. I’m going to be here for the second service preaching a totally different message. But I want to just say thank you so much; it’s an honor to be here. First of all, I just want to give honor to the visionary and the founder, the senior pastor of the House of the Rock Church, in his absence, no other than Pastor Paul Foras. Come and just celebrate the gift of God; you can do better than that! I know you can do better than that! Amen! Thank you for being a kingdom giant and a trailblazer. Of course, I want to celebrate your own pastors here, Pastor Uch and Pastor Chichi. Thank you so much for what you do. Such an apostolic administrative gift like never before! Come on, you can do better than that! Celebrate them! Thank you so much, sir, for this opportunity. I bring you greetings from Houston, Texas, from Pastor Keon Henderson of the Lighthouse Church in Houston, Texas, and my wife and my family. Amen! If you have your Bibles, let’s go to Mark chapter 2, verse 1. I’m going to read a couple of verses. Mark 2, from verse 1 through verse 7, the NIV version says, «A few days later when Jesus entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home.» Watch this—verse 2—"They gathered in such numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them.» So men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man carried by four of them. Verse 4 is where I want to hang my hat. It says, «Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it, and they lowered the mat the man was lying on.» Verse 5: «When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, 'Son, your sins are forgiven.'» Verse 6: «Now there were some scribes or teachers of the law there. There would always be religious leaders; there would always be critics; there would always be naysayers, and they were thinking to themselves, 'Why does this fellow talk like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins except God alone? '» I want to hang my hat on verse 4: «When they could not get him in, they had to break through the roof.» Help me look at your neighbor and tell them, «By any means necessary.» I will be speaking on that for the next few minutes, «By any means necessary.» Father, we ask for the anointing that makes preaching and teaching easy. We ask that you move from center to circumference in this place. Beyond the excitement, let there be an experience. Jesus, be glorified! Be lifted high! I am nothing without you; I am totally inept without you. Holy Spirit of God, if you don’t show up, we have wasted our time. But thank you, Lord, because after all these years, you have been faithful; you have been so good to us. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, and the people of God say, «Amen!» Come on, on your way to your seat, look at your neighbor, and tell them, «I’m going to get it by any means necessary.» You may be seated. By any means necessary. So, in our text here, we see that the house where Jesus was was full. This house where Jesus was, was full of people. Jesus did not give out his address; he didn’t give out his GPS coordinates or location, but somehow the room was full of people because Jesus was in the house. Jesus showed up, and the whole place was full. So fullness is actually the presence of Jesus. If fullness is the presence of Jesus, then it means that emptiness is the absence of Jesus. You can see that Jesus showed up and the whole place was full. For example, one of the symbols of our faith in Christianity at Easter is the empty tomb. Now, the tomb is empty because Jesus is no longer there; he’s no longer there; he is risen! So it doesn’t matter what is in the tomb. It doesn’t matter what you fill the tomb with; as long as Jesus is not there, it is still going to be empty. The reverse is the case here because we see that Jesus was in the house, and the house was full. I need you to notice that Jesus did not beg; Jesus did not ask; Jesus did not appeal; Jesus did not plead with people to come to the house. When Jesus showed up, everybody that needed to be in the house showed up. There are some things that will not show up in your life until you…
