Look at your name and tell them to be careful. I can call for backup at any time. I’m calling for backup. You cannot truly and fully understand or appreciate the goodness of God, the greatness of God, or even the kindness of God. Still, you understand what I call the business of God. What is the business of God? The business of God is a theological persuasion, perception, or position that suggests that God possesses—watch this—God possesses, and every so often he will manifest business-like attributes and tendencies throughout Scripture. All through the thread of the Scriptures, we see God weave business truths around the fabric of spiritual principles. For example, we see in Genesis that the father of faith is Abraham, and Abraham was not a pastor, an apostle, or a bishop. Abraham was a business owner. When Jesus shows up, he begins to tell parables that are laced with a business undertone. That’s why we have parables like the Parable of the Talents, the Parable of the Rich Fool, and the Parable of the Lost Coin—all of them have something to do with business or money. The bottom line is that the most important thing for any business owner is protecting their investment, watch this, so they can get a return on their investment. If you missed what I just said, you’ve missed half of the sermon, so I hope you didn’t miss it. The most important thing about a business owner is protecting your investment so you can always have a return on your investment.

So why is this important? Can I instruct you this morning? Do you know that God is a business owner and you are his investment? You are his asset; you are his prophet. You are not a liability; you are an asset. This is why the enemy always wants to lie about your ability because he wants you to believe that you are a liability. But the devil is a liar and his mother-in-law. You are not a liability; you are an asset. God has invested so much in you. The Bible says he took you from clay and breathed his Spirit into you, and you became a living being. The Bible tells us about Christ in you; the hope of glory. Look at your neighbor in the eye and tell them to be careful how they treat you. You are God’s investment. Look at the other neighbor and shake their hands as if you are about to shake them off the socket, and tell them, «I am God’s investment. I am the apple of God’s eye. The Lord is my shepherd. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I am all that and some more. I am the apple of God’s eye.» That’s why I talk the way I talk. That’s why I walk the way I walk; because I am God’s investment. It’s not my fault I’m blessed. Do you know who you’re sitting beside? If you had a clue about who you were sitting beside, you would want my autograph. Because by the next time you see me, you would have to call somebody to hold on, and call somebody to call somebody, to hold on, and call somebody and schedule an appointment to talk to me.

I am made in God’s image. The Spirit of God is in me. I have the power of God. I’ve got favor on my inside. There is so much mercy on my inside. There is so much grace on my inside. There is so much power on my inside. You are too loaded to fail. You are too loaded to be stranded. You are too loaded to be confused. God has blessed you so much with everything. The Bible says this is the mystery that was hidden: Christ invested in you, the hope of glory. I look at this and see God as a businessman, always making sure he has a return on his investment. Return on his investment. We are waiting for God to return his government, and he’s waiting for us to return his investment. It seems like God is waiting, and we are waiting. We are waiting for his return, and he’s waiting for his return. We’re waiting for a return of his government, and he’s waiting for a return of his investment in you. He’s waiting for you to manifest everything he’s put inside you.

Let me say something. If you’re taking notes, I need you to understand that God does not take care of you just because you have a divine assignment. God takes care of you because you are his divine investment. I’m going to say it for the people in the back: God doesn’t take care of you just because you have a divine assignment. God takes care of you because you are his divine investment. In other words, God says, «I am obligated to take care of you. I own this body of yours. You cannot be sick. I own your bank account, so you cannot be broke. I own your children, so they are the head and not the tail. I own your business. I own your life. That’s why no weapon formed against you will prosper.» Don’t you know you are God’s asset? That’s why everyone cannot have access to you, because God is always protecting you. You are all that and some more. Look at your neighbor and tell them, «I am God’s investment, whether you like it or not.»

Let me take this a step forward. Can I push this a little bit further? Isaiah 43:1. You need to understand that God is not just a businessman; he’s your maker, your creator, and your father. You know what this means? Isaiah 43:1.
