Sheryl Brady - What Does This Moment Demand of Me

I made it! Hey everybody, we are ready. Please forgive us for being just a little late today. Come on in, everyone who is prepared tonight to receive a very special blessing. This is our «Don’t Miss the Moment» Facebook Live, and our question is, what does this moment demand of you? I’ll tell you what it demands of me: it demands that I get better when it comes to technology. But anyway, we’re here! Where are y’all from? Tell me who’s joining us tonight. I can see you all. Are you glad to be in the house of the Lord with me? Well, this is really not the house of the Lord, but I think anywhere the Lord is can be considered His house. So tonight, I am glad that you’re here and that you’re checking in. Are y’all putting where you’re from? Tanisha, love y’all! So glad you’re here; I’ve been praying for you. Vicki Turner, he says Nicky is on everything. I love Nicky; she makes the greatest posts! Thank you for all you do. I am glad to have you all in from Durham, Memphis—wherever you’re from today. I am so glad that you are watching us. I don’t know how many we have online, but I am so glad that you’re here tonight. I have some very special guests. I have two wonderful leaders. One thing I truly believe in this moment is that we need leadership. I mean we need genuine, heartfelt leadership. So, I’ve invited some very special leaders who are close to my heart and my life, and I’ll have them come in just a second.

But I just want to encourage those of you who are watching tonight and let you know that God is in control. The coronavirus is not in control; God is in control. I know when we watch television, we see the news, and we see the numbers rising, and those numbers represent real people. By the way, when we see all of that, sometimes we have a tendency to feel like the virus is in control. But when all is said and done, there is a God who sits high; He looks low. He is in charge; He rules and supersedes all. He is the author and finisher of our faith, and He is the one who is in control.

So tonight, maybe some of you are watching because your heart is heavy. Perhaps you have loved ones who have been affected by this virus. Maybe you’ve lost people, or perhaps you just have burdens on your heart. Maybe you’re battling fear; many people are losing their jobs. But tonight, we’ve come to bring some hope to you and to tell you that Jesus is the same provider today that He was yesterday, and He’ll be the same provider tomorrow as He is today. He’s an amazing God—the author and finisher of our faith. He is in control, and sometimes you just need to say that out loud. Sometimes I walk through the house and say, «God is in control.» When you say it out loud, your ears hear what your spirit is declaring. I’m telling you, God is in control; you need to know that tonight.

I want to say thank you to all of you who have tuned in. I want you to prepare your hearts to receive. If you’ve got questions, you can put them in the comments, and we’ll try to get to them. I’m here tonight with three amazing leaders, and I’ll try to address your questions. But I wanted to bring them on so they could share their hearts with you about what’s going on in their lives and in their churches.
