Touré Roberts - God Wants to Awaken What You Have Forgotten

So, I want to talk to you today about the theme: God wants to awaken what you have forgotten. In fact, I’m going to remix that—God is going to awaken what you have forgotten! Hello, somebody! The reality is that there are some things you have forgotten; there are some promises God has made to you, and some identity truths that, for some reason, you have become disconnected from. I’m not saying you don’t have things going on because you do, but even in the midst of having it going on, it cannot compare to what God has in store for you. Eyes have not seen, nor ears heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man those things that God has prepared for those who love Him. If you didn’t believe me with that verse, there’s another passage that says, «Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly far above what you can ask or imagine according to the power that works in you.» So, God is going to broaden your understanding of what resurrection power is—it’s going to be incredible! He is going to awaken what you have forgotten, and you are going to be better as a result of the time we spend together. Does anybody believe that? Is anybody ready for that? Come on! You can’t come in here just hoping something is going to happen—you have to know that God brought you into this theater, in the heart of Hollywood, because He has something He wants to deposit in you, and you’re not going to leave the same! Hello, somebody! You have to be willing to fight for it. I just feel God; I might just take this jacket off and throw off all formality. I know it’s Easter, and some of you might be thinking, «Oh my God, he’s going to do this!» I brought my friend, and he’s really not that crazy! Yes, I am! I am crazy! I am crazy about what God has in store for you, and it’s going to be incredible. I need some hungry people in God’s house who are willing to lay hold of what God has brought them into this theater with dancing bears on the walls.

Now, let’s go to Luke chapter 11 real quick. This is not an unfamiliar passage of Scripture; you’ve heard it before—it’s when Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead. There are some spiritual truths in there. God is going to open the eyes and minds of His people to show them something profound, and we are going to tap into it right now. It says, «Now a certain man was sick.» Let me stop right there. Whenever you see in the Scripture a story or a parable where Jesus starts by saying, «A certain man was sick,» I want you to automatically know that when you see «a certain man,» He is talking about you. There is going to be a lesson very specific to you, not your neighbor! I don’t want you texting someone saying that message was short for them—no, no, no! It’s for you; you need this; it’s for you! So, anytime you see «a certain man,» just know God is getting ready to drive down your street, pull up in your driveway, cut the alarm on, knock on your door, and say, «Let Me in!» Hello, somebody! This is what’s happening—it’s about you! God is going to be all in your business, and if you wanted to leave, you should have left already! But He’s going to drive down your street; it’s getting ready to happen. Are you ready? Alright, let’s go!

So, it says, «Now a certain man was sick; it was Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.» Is there any possible way you can increase the font size on that? It seems like it got smaller; if you can, great—if not, don’t worry about it. But I just wanted to mention it. «And it was that Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.» There it is! Look at God! Wow! Look at this! The Holy Spirit just confirmed it!
