Touré Roberts - Shine

I was praying early this morning when the scripture came to mind because God wanted me to speak to you and let you know that He sees your shine. Heaven literally, that’s all this is. It’s a message from Heaven saying to you, «I see your shine.» So I want to look at this real quick; this is what He gave to me, and we can be done. It says, «Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament.» What is the firmament? The firmament is the heavens. So, you know, when God created in the beginning, He created the sun to rule the day, and the stars and the moon would be the lights to rule by night. The stars and the moon—that was the brightness of the firmament. The firmament literally is the heavens. So, when it says «like the brightness of the firmament,» it is saying that those who are wise—which we’ll qualify in a second—will shine. It’s interesting because the context of this is Daniel, and you need to study him. He was an amazing, awesome personality and character in the scripture—just incredible. But he had this access to God, this relationship with God that was so pure and so connected that God could show him things about what would happen in the end times, in the last days. One of the things it says right there in that chapter is that in those times, knowledge will increase. Knowledge will increase! One would think, what does that mean—knowledge will increase? Well, now think about the internet age and the technology age. What would take you 10 years of schooling to be exposed to can now literally be accessed with just a pinch and a click. And not only can you access it, but because the internet is global, that knowledge increases throughout the entire world. This was thousands of years ago; there was no point of reference for technology. How could knowledge increase in that way? Yet, Daniel’s connection with God was so rich, pure, and unobstructed that he could receive that type of revelation about things to come. It says, «In those days, also, those who are wise shall shine.» I feel it—"shall shine like the stars that are in heaven.» Right now, with much honor, love, and respect, red carpets are opening in five minutes down at the Staples Center for the Grammys, and that’s wonderful. Those stars will be walking the red carpet and being honored and celebrated for their accomplishments. Yet, I sense that there’s another award show happening right now. I believe everything in the natural mirrors the spiritual, and sometimes you can become so consumed with what is happening in the natural that you don’t recognize what God is doing on your behalf in the spiritual right now. I believe that God sent me to you to let you know that you’re shining and that Heaven sees it. One of the things that I’m sensing, and I’m trying to stay on cue, but I’ve just got to tell you what I’m sensing—what I’ve been sensing for the past few weeks—and it really speaks to the series I just finished, is that we are moving into a season of reward. I feel like there is a bowl over us right now, and your prayers, your faithfulness, and your work to get aligned are getting ready to tip that bowl over you. I’m talking about something that is bigger than the Grammys, something that is bigger than the NAACP Image Awards. Heaven has cooked up and baked something for you that’s going to change your life, your family’s life, and generations to come because you’ve been working hard, and you haven’t grown weary in your well-doing. While we are sitting back waiting on the applause of man, we are missing Heaven’s applause. Every time you laid that thing down that you wanted to pick up again, every time you said «no» to something you’d been saying «yes» to all of your life, I saw angels standing up on your behalf. I see angels with gifts that they are getting ready to bring to you. I feel the Holy Spirit—who’s been sacrificing for real in here? Who’s been in this thing, and where your pursuit of God has cost you relationships, money, and getting kicked out of some social circles? I’m telling you, God saw every sacrifice. God saw everything you gave up for faith’s sake. I’m telling you, when you look at the Grammys, just say, «Mine is coming, but mine is eternal; it’s going to last forever.» God sent me here to stir some people up with this truth. When you look and see what is happening in this dimension, just know that something greater is happening in an everlasting dimension on your behalf. I see it; I know it. What happens is our culture and our world keep us from being sensitive to what matters. Our sensitivities have been manipulated by things that only see us as money. Can I have a real talk just for a second? Just a real talk, just for a second? Just let me do that. We had the fun stuff about the Super Bowl, but let me just give you something real, real quick: You have to guard your spiritual sensitivities. You’ve got to guard them.
