Andrew Wommack - Hebrews Highlights, Episode 6

So I'll be ending that up this week, but I've been teaching primarily from Hebrews, chapter 10, verse 19 through 25 and I've read these verses a number of times, but real quickly let me just go back and say that these are radical, radical statements that you don't get the full impact of unless you have somewhat of an understanding of the people this was written to the Jewish mindset. As the name of this book implies, it was written to the Jews, to the Hebrews, and it was specifically for the purpose of transitioning them from the old covenant to the new covenant and man, there are just some powerful, powerful things that were said in here.

We talked about having boldness to enter into the holy of holies by a new and living way through the flesh of Jesus, and it compared the flesh of Jesus to the veil. And you know, one point I didn't bring out, but I think is worth mentioning that just as the veil of the temple was rent in two and the way to God was made accessible to everyone, there are many people who teach that we have this access to God but then every time we sin that we are once again excluded and we have to come back in again and all of this and that would be comparable to like mending the veil every time you sin and putting this veil back up and you're separated from God and then when you confess it, the veil is rent again and of course Hebrews, chapter 6 goes into quite an explanation.
