I've been teaching from Hebrews, chapter 10, verses 19 through 25, and you know, it's hard for me. There's so much stuff here it's hard for me to do this in an orderly fashion, but let me go back and just focus on one thing right here. Hebrews, chapter 10, verse 19 says "Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us". This is talking about the new covenant.
Let me go back to Hebrews, chapter 8, and I want to read most of Hebrews, chapter 8 here. This is one of the most radical passages of scripture in the Bible and if people understood this, it would bring them out from the bondage and the legalism of the Old Testament law. But probably this is not one of your favorite passages of scripture because this isn't taught on very much, but if you understand it, this should become one of your most favorite passages of scripture in the Bible. In Hebrews, chapter 8, verse 1 it says, "Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum"... So he's summarizing the first seven chapters of the book of Hebrews, "We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the majesty in the heavens: a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man".
