David Jeremiah - The First Resurrection in the Bible

I'm David Jeremiah. Thank you for joining me on today's edition of "Turning Point". When we read about the miracles that Christ performed, we are humbled and amazed, especially when He restored life to someone who had died. But not as many people are aware that the prophet Elijah also performed many mighty miracles. In fact, the first person to be raised from the dead in Scripture was a product of Elijah's prayers.

My current series of messages is all about the life and ministry of Elijah. I've entitled it "Someone Like You" to illustrate how God loves to use ordinary people, people like you and me, to do extraordinary things for His glory. In today's message entitled "The First Resurrection in the Bible," we'll see how God honored Elijah's faith and how He is willing to honor our faith as well. We'll discover it all on today's edition of "Turning Point".

The Bible says be ready always to give a reason to those who ask you about your faith. In other words, it sounds like if you live your life the way you should live your life somebody is going to ask you about it, and be ready to give them an answer.
