Just because you don’t see the options doesn’t mean there aren’t any. Just because the options hadn’t come before you doesn’t mean the options aren’t coming to you. God is the God of the exit. Somebody say Exodus! One of my favorite books, guys, because the word Exodus means exit. The content contained in the book of Exodus exposes us to how God orchestrated Israel’s exit out of Egypt. Let me tell you why that excites me: If God is the God of the exit, that means I’m never trapped. I may look trapped, it may feel like I’m trapped, and others may think I’m trapped, but if God is the God of the exit, it means that when there is no way, He’ll make a way. When there is no way out, He will make a way out. If He has to part a Red Sea, knock down a Jericho wall, remove a roadblock, or replace some people, when God gets ready to get you out, you are coming out. Listen to this: If God is the God of exits, then we are people with options, and people with options never act desperate. Whenever you see a believer acting desperate, that’s a person who doesn’t have the revelation that they have options. Because only desperate people… Wait up, give me a second. I said you’ve got options. Just because you don’t see the options doesn’t mean there aren’t any. Just because the options hadn’t come before you doesn’t mean the options aren’t coming to you. God is the God of the exit. Those people were under an oppressive Egyptian regime for 400 years. Here’s something interesting: God let them stay there until they asked to come out. Did you hear what I just said? God read the text; He let them stay there until they asked to come out. Because God will let you live on whatever level you settle for. He says, «Now, I want more than this for you, but if this is all you want for yourself, I won’t force you into something that you don’t want.» I want to know: Am I talking to anybody in the room today who has an appetite for more? Am I talking to anybody who refuses to settle for less than God’s best? This is what’s scary: God had been a deliverer all the time; He didn’t become a deliverer when He delivered them. He was already a deliverer. But because they didn’t see a deliverer, they didn’t get one. Because the God you see is the God you get. If the only thing you see about God is that He can give you a one-way ticket to Heaven, that’s all you’re gonna get. But if your God can do exceedingly, abundantly, and above all you ask or think, then that’s what you will get. Let me hear how big your God is by how loud your shout is. Oh, ain’t that something? Religious people will be mad at you because you refuse to have a reductionist view of God. Don’t get mad at me if you don’t want anything; just don’t want anything. But as for me and my house, I want to exceed. Here it is: They cried out to God for deliverance; God starts talking to a deliverer. Most of them didn’t even know Moses. They start talking to God about deliverance, and God starts talking to a deliverer. They start talking to God about deliverance, and God starts talking to a deliverer. Now, this is concerning for me: They’re talking to God about a problem, but God’s not talking back to them. When I talk to God about a problem, I want God to talk to me about the problem I’m talking to God about. But instead of God talking to them about the problem, God starts talking to the answer. Just because God is not talking to you about the problem doesn’t mean God is not working on the answer. God only talks answers. You got it? I said God only talks answers. He said, «You want to talk problems? Don’t talk to me.» But when you’re getting ready for an answer, say, «On top of problems, I talk answers.» He’s talking to a man named Moses; he’s burning bushes. Are y’all ready for this? He’s interrupting his life. Moses did not have being a deliverer in his plans. See, y’all aren’t talking to me because somehow we think he exists to fulfill our plans. He’s not a genie; he’s God. He does not exist for us; we exist for Him. Moses is minding his business, thinking that he’s going to do what he’s doing for the rest of his life. And God starts setting the bush on fire and says, «You’re getting ready to make a pivot.» He says, «Man, I’m in my 40s; I’m too old to make a pivot.» He said, «Moses, I need you to lead Israel in the Exodus out of Egypt.» Now watch this: God calls Moses. Moses’ inadequacy answers. The text says in Exodus 3:11, «But Moses said to God, 'Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt? '» Who am I? Now, there’s no evidence he had any inadequacy issues until God called him to make a pivot. He was probably super confident until…
