The cross is the place where everything, all the attributes of God met. God is love. You see it at the cross. God is just, you see at the cross.

The Bible defines God as love. But God is just. So at the cross, you see his love, you see his justice because his justice, you see Jesus being punished. The Son that he love being punished, but Jesus did no sin. In him is no sin. He knew no sin. But why was he punished? Because he was carrying our sins. So you see God's judgment. God did not say, "Oh, he's my Son. Okay, boys will be boys. Never mind, I'll sweep everything under the carpet". No, because he was carrying our sins, your sins and my sins, he was punished. He was judged. He was cursed that you might be blessed.
