Somebody said, «Mind your business.» If you are online, just put it in the chat and say, «Mind your business.» You know, a wise man once said, «Use money and love people; don’t love money and use people. Use money and love people; don’t love money and use people.» I believe this personally because one of my pet peeves is when people are used, abused, or misused. I just hate when people are taken advantage of. I want to speak prophetically to you today because you’re entering a season where you need discernment for your assignment. You’re going into a season where you need sensitivity for your destiny. You need to understand that there is a difference between people needing a favor and needing friends. All right, some people hanging around you don’t need your friendship; they just need your favor. My friend Pastor Hammond would always say that some relationships are bills, while others are investments. You have to know the difference between those who need you and those who feed you. You have made friends out of fans, and there is a difference because a fan loves what you do, but a friend loves who you are. You are in a season where you have to discern.

You must understand that some people see you as opportunities. Listen to me: when people see you as opportunities, they are not your responsibility. It’s not pride; it’s called focus. It’s not arrogance; it’s focus. There are people who see you only for what you can give them, and you have to be willing to say, «I would love you, but I can love you from a distance.» If you see me as an opportunity, then you are not my responsibility. It’s not arrogance; it’s called focus. It’s not pride; it’s called purpose. Not every attachment is a connection; some attachments are disconnections and distractions. You have to be able to discern the difference between an attraction and a distraction. Don’t use people; love people. Look at someone and say, «Love people.» Why do I say this? Because the enemy’s strategy is to get you to use people, especially those who want to help you. The enemy wants you to manipulate people or become used to those who want to help you. When you use people, you understand who they are and what they can do, so you manipulate them. However, when you get used to people, you’ve forgotten who they are and what they can do. The enemy always tries to get you to use people or become accustomed to them.

But when it comes to God, you cannot use Him because He is God. You cannot use God because He is in full control. Listen, there is a tendency to become accustomed to God. While we might not be able to use God, we can get used to Him. Oh, Jesus, I’m about to watch this sermon myself. You can become so accustomed to God that you take advantage of His blessings in your life. You can become so used to God that, in fact, the psalmist says, «Bless the Lord, O my soul,» and he adds, «Forget not all His benefits.» Can I talk about benefits for a second? Some of you need a reminder that God has been good to you. Some of you need a Hammond B3 organ to remind you to praise the name of the Lord. Some of you need a singer to encourage you to bless the name of the Lord. Some of you need a preacher to hype you up to bless the name of the Lord. Then there are some of us who don’t need any of that to bless the name of the Lord. Look at you today! There was a time you didn’t have the house you were believing for. Now you are all cute, and you’ve forgotten to bless the name of the Lord. Some of you have forgotten where God picked you from. You’ve forgotten when you didn’t have the job you have now. You’ve forgotten when you didn’t have the house you have now. You’ve forgotten when you didn’t have the spouse you have now. You’ve forgotten when you didn’t have the car you have now. Look at your life; see how God cleaned you up. Look at your life; see how God turned your life around. Do I have a witness in the house? Somebody said yes! That’s why the Bible says, «Enter His gates with thanksgiving.» In other words, before you even hit the premises of the church, you need to have a Hallelujah. Before you enter this church, you need to have a «thank you.» Everybody, lift your hands wherever you are. Online, lift your hands; two fingers like this, two fingers like this, put them underneath your chin or neck. Do you feel a pulse? Well, my Bible says everything that has a pulse has a praise. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. I was glad when they said unto me, «Let us go into the house of the Lord. Let us exalt His name together.» I came to magnify the name! Somebody said yeah! Come on, take 30 seconds and give Him the biggest praise! If He brought you from a long way, give Him all the praise. Look at your life; He delivered you and protected you.
