On your way to discovering yourself, look at your neighbor and tell them the flip side of being blessed. The flip side of being blessed. The flip side of being blessed. You know, when God created the Earth in Genesis chapter 1, do you realize that God did not bless anything He created until He created man? I’ll say it again: in Genesis chapter 1, when God created the heavens and the Earth, He did not bless anything He created until He created man. He called it good, but He didn’t call it blessed. He created the sun and called the sun good, but He didn’t call the sun blessed. He created the trees and called the trees good, but He didn’t call the trees blessed. He created the animals and called the animals good, but He didn’t call the animals blessed. What this means, Johnny, is that there is a difference between good and blessed. Everything that is good is not blessed, but everything that is blessed is good. Let me break it down: there’s a difference between a good job and a blessed job. A good job will pay your bills, but a blessed job will pay your bills and provide surplus for you to be a blessing to others. Come on! There’s a difference between a good relationship and a blessed relationship. In a good relationship, you’re just concerned about meeting your needs, but in a blessed relationship, you understand that there’s more to meeting your personal needs; there is a Kingdom purpose and assignment. There is a difference between a good opportunity and a blessed opportunity. A good opportunity is when you apply for a job and get it based on your experience, education, and expertise, but a blessed opportunity is one where you were not even in the room, and your name was mentioned. A blessed opportunity is when you get the job without the credentials or the resume, and you don’t understand how you got the job. That is a blessed opportunity. Let me pause here for a moment and encourage you. Look at your neighbor and tell them, «Do you know I’m blessed?» No! You’re looking at the wrong neighbor. Look at the other person and tell them, «Do you know I’m blessed?!» Do you know that man was the last thing God created, but the first thing God blessed? Man was the last thing God created, but the first thing God blessed. What this means is that everything good came first. Can I take my time this morning? Everything good came first; then later, the blessed things showed up, which was man, and he was given authority over everything that came before him. So, you don’t need to struggle for the position when you have the blessing. You don’t have to struggle for the position when you have the blessing because the blessing gives you dominion, regardless of your position. That’s why I always say just be. I know you’ve heard it before, but I’m going to keep saying it, and I’ll say it next week: just because you came later doesn’t mean you are late; it means you’re the latest. Man came later. Now God turns around and says, «Man, the only thing blessed here is you, so you dominate.» This is the power of the blessing; the blessing makes the difference. So, what is the blessing? I’m glad you asked. The blessing is the supernatural empowerment from God that causes you to succeed, prosper, and dominate wherever you are. I’m going to say it again: the blessing is the supernatural enablement from God that causes you to succeed. Everybody say succeed! Trust! Everybody say prosper and dominate wherever you are and whatever you do. I love what the Bible says in Proverbs, I believe it’s Proverbs chapter 10, verse 22. It says, «It’s the blessing of God that makes rich.» It’s not my fault I’m rich; it’s the blessing of God that makes rich, and it doesn’t have any negative side effects. It doesn’t add sorrow. The blessing of God… Help me look at the other neighbor, the one who responded positively to you, and tell them, «I’m blessed; you just don’t know it! I’m blessed! I’m blessed! I’m blessed; you just don’t know it!» The Bible says wherever the soles of your feet shall tread upon is blessed. I’m giving it to you: you are blessed in your going out and blessed in your coming in. Can I tell you about Galatians? The Bible says that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law so that the blessings of Abraham, which are the blessings of God, can come upon you. In Numbers 23, verse 8, it begins to look at the children of Israel, and Balaam says, «I cannot curse whom God has blessed.» The blessings of God upon your life are prominent, and what God has blessed, no man can curse. I want you to declare, «It’s too late! It’s too late! I’m already blessed! It’s too late; I’m already blessed!» This is why Jesus came to take away the curse. This morning, we had Holy Communion, and when Jesus fed the five thousand, Tristan, do you know what Jesus did? He took the bread, blessed the bread, and then broke the bread. Hold on a second: He blessed it and then broke it. I’m trying to tell you that you can be broken and still be blessed. Some of you think that your situation is a reflection of the blessings of God upon your life. Even Jesus was broken but still blessed.
