Now, we brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of the promise. You've got it because God's promise was greater than your weakness. In fact, he said, "My strength is made perfect in your weakness. I'm not gonna give it to you 'til you give up on yourself. I'm not gonna give it to you until you begin to understand that it is me that's doing it and it's not you. As long as you have strength, Abraham, you will lean to your strength. I'll wait 'til your body is dead. I'll wait 'til you are impotent. I'll wait 'til you can't produce a child. And then there'll be no doubt that if it had not been for the Lord, you would not be able to do what you're trying to do". There's somebody right now, in your own strength, you don't have the resources. You don't have the money. You don't have the relationships. You don't have the connections. You don't have the background. And yet God keeps talking to you about something he's going to do in your life. You're a child of the promise.
