On your way to your sin, look at your neighbor and tell them, «There is something about your nothing.» There’s something about your nothing. The woman in our text is relatively unknown; this means that she is outside the scope of our understanding. She’s unknown, and this means that she’s just outside the circumference of our experience and our knowledge. She has no identification, and we have no information about her. We have no recognition or recollection of her in scripture except this: all we know is that she is a certain woman. She didn’t even have a name; she was the widow of one of the sons of the prophets who served under Elijah. She had two sons, and now she was in debt. The creditors were about to take her two boys. That’s what we know about this woman. Please make no mistake about this: we are only introduced to this woman because of the death of her husband, and because of the debt her husband left for her. I have a sneaky suspicion that if her husband had not died, we probably would never hear about this woman. If her husband had not died, we probably would not know about her, but here we are today, knowing about this woman because of the loss she suffered. Isn’t it amazing how God can use pain as a platform to promote you? Isn’t it amazing how what you call adversity might be the advertisement God is using to announce you? My brothers and sisters, I need you to be very careful because what you call a bad season might not be a bad season. What you call a bad season might not be a bad season. If God has a good reason for what you call a bad season, then it’s really not about the season; you probably need to change your definition and give your season another reason. If God sees the bad season and has a purpose through it, we don’t even know who this woman is. We don’t even know where she was born; we have no record of this woman in scripture. I don’t know her name; I don’t know what she’s called, nor do we have any recollection or record whatsoever about her. That teaches me and helps me understand that you can still break records even when nobody has any record of you. What I’m trying to tell you is that people don’t have to have a recollection or record of you for God to use you to break records. We did not know this woman’s name; I don’t know what she’s called, but I know she was called of God. What that means is that what people call you cannot stop the calling of God in your life. Oh, I’m preaching better than your responding! That’s what this is аbout: she may be nameless, but she was not powerless. She was nameless, but she was not helpless. She was nameless, but she was not useless. Oh, I’m ready! This woman in our text—I don’t even know her name. God has a sense of humor! People don’t need to know who you are for God to use you. I love God! Ah, no, you didn’t hear me! I said people don’t need to know who you are for God to use you. Let me make you upset: People don’t have to like you for God to bless you. You don’t have to like me for God to bless me! Look at them and tell them, «It’s okay if you don’t know my name. It’s okay if you don’t know my name.» Now, this is the time to talk to the neighbor you haven’t wanted to talk to all service. Tell them, «It’s okay if you don’t know my name. It’s okay!» What did they say? «It’s okay if you don’t know my name.» It’s okay if I don’t look familiar; it’s okay if you’re not following me on social media; it’s okay if I don’t have a VIP pass. It’s okay if I didn’t park in front of the church; it’s okay if I’m not sitting at the front of the church; it’s okay if you don’t know me. Why? Because God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. Feel the power of the Holy Ghost! Children, I’ve come to realize that you don’t have to be popular to be powerful. You don’t have to be famous to be favored. Newsflash! You don’t have to be famous to be favored! Oh, I feel the power of the Holy Ghost! You don’t have to be influential to be impactful. Let me say this another way: You don’t have to be well-known to be well-blessed. Travis, do you know that you can be anonymous and still be anointed? You can be anonymous and still anointed! I came to preach this Sunday morning; I don’t know about you! I’m trying to tell you, you don’t have to be a celebrity to be celebrated. It’s okay if you don’t know me! You are not important because people know your name; you are important because God knows your name. You are not important because people include you in their plans; you are important because God did not exclude you from His plan. So, Jesus, preach! Black boy! Say, «It’s okay!
